If you could make one FWD a RWD car, what would you pick?

If you could make one FWD a RWD car, what would you pick?

...

the obvious choice

Civics

why?

because it would mean cheap, lightweight, COMMON RWD cars for everyone

Prelewd

3gen Prelude

...

What if AWD with 4ws?

yeah, but muh fuel economy/winter traction/cheapness

Last gen Celica. I also think the twingo (even if it's a meme) could be cool with RWD

What's the bias for the torque split and is the engine longitudinal or transverse?

If it's RWD that works like Haldex or the original quattro I'd do it but if it were like FWD bias with haldex I wouldn't.

let toyota handle that.

yeah, but Honda is a direct competitor, meaning it'll never happen

All Acuras. Especially the TL Type S

Accord coupe v6

It would be great

It wouldn't be as fast. FWD is actually better at handling than RWD, the problem is it has a power threshold.

All gens of the Accord would be GOAT in rwd. It just fits it.

Maybe it would redeem this Korean pos.

naa, it would still be an ugly gook car

...

...

SAAB 9-3

1st-gen DSM... AWD just ain't good enough.

...

probably the prelude

Anti-gook shill go and stay go.

import a Toyota Crown and just enjoy it

The Levins and Sprinters following AE86 should've been RWD.

...

>defending ugly gook cars
lel
>go and stay go.
no

What possesses a man to shill for free on an Aboriginal cave-art communal noticeboard? Who hurt you, user?

I'm still amazed they managed to get 167hp out of a 2.7L V6.

None because FWD to RWD conversions are stupid. The end result is often worse than what you started with.

Acura Legend Coupe.

...

The Integra should have been RWD, although then it wouldn't have the title of best handling FWD car.

Fucking Celicas and Preludes could of been so much more, it makes me sad

Saab would never do rwd.

>celica could of been so much more
just buy a gt4

Not the Integra desu.
It's one of the few FWD cars engineered specifically to draw the most out of a FF drivetrain. RWD defeats the entire purpose of the car.

The ITR was better than the S2K

>Last gen Celica. I also think the twingo (even if it's a meme) could be cool with RWD

You can relatively easily convert it to AWD (3s-gte + stuff from other toyotas)

yeah me too man ;_;

and

this
or buy gt86 which is the new celica replacement

Oldsmobile Aurora

BMW 3-series

Celica has already been mentioned do ill say Mitsubishi eclipse (especially spyder)

loooooooool
As fur the OP
prob a rabbit would be neat

...

This car right here. Any car putting down enough power to burn out should be rwd.

Also, in regards to better handling and winter traction, why aren't all cars awd with switches to disengage the fwd or rwd diffs? Why don't all cars have the same size brakes and rotors on all 4 wheels with the option to disengage the rear breaks so you can do burnouts. Am I missing something?

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer

>he didn't go off the cliff
disappoint

Is that a fwd horse?

Did his nuts ever return to the sack?

the crz
i think it's neat as fuck especially with the playe moved to the side

Saab 900 Turbo

>tfw 5 cyl turbo and RWD never

Mitsubishi FTO

Although the 9000 is FWD, there is a tunnel for driveshaft to the rear as its alfa platform mate was offered with AWD.

My shitbox Sebring

Could have been a mx5 killer

CHEAP RWD CITY SHITBOXMASTER

What is that, elan? I can't tell there's a lot of jpg

Prelude
Del Sol
Integra (I understand it was going to try and be best fwd but it looks so rwd that every time you see it you think of what could've been)
Saabs

Except it doesn't look ugly. It looks like a generic sports coup.

>Del Sol (mid engined)
>VW Caddy (first gen)
>MX-3 (just put the K-series V6 into a hardtop MX-5)

they did make a mr and fr CRX just to test what the effect would be
they decided it offered little benefit and that an entirely new platform was needed
hence the nsx came to be
remove the front half shafts from any 4wd

>that's why we don't have fwd
>make 1 series fwd

>no one has posted the right answer yet

This, mx3 and some small hatch like micra or starlet (I know they made them rwd earlier)

Doesn't Acura do that?

You can buy literally five dozen other RWD landbarges. Why the hell would you ruin the one car that demonstrated that a car can be FWD and powerful without being uncontrollable? The Toronado was an achievement.

Their profit margins matter more than what some autists think, that's the reality of the world

this man has the right idea

Jay leno did it, I specialize like the look of the 68, and I want want in RWD, I still think the FWD is neat, and I wouldn't change any others, it's just not what I want. Hypothetical thread is hypothetical.

shoulda been MR to beat up Fiero and MR2

...

Still mad

Jay Leno is a fucking dumbass.

its also twin turbo and pushing 1000hp

Fiat Coupe

you would have to pay more for every cars and most cars don't need awd
