Why would a car enthusiast ever willingly live in a city?

Why would a car enthusiast ever willingly live in a city?

>cramped streets
>potholes and bumps everywhere
>crosswalks
>low speed limits
>speed cameras
>red light cameras
>no winding roads
>traffic everywhere

Why a suburb though? Rural areas are best

>Rural areas are best

Nah, I would say forested foothils.

The biggest companies are in cities and pay the most so you can actually afford a nice car

Midwest states 4 lyfe

Both wrong, moutain pass or bust

Not all of use work for companies.

>Not all of useĢ¶ work

American suburbs look like some capatlist dystopia

are you basing that statement off of that one picture in the op?

*us damnit

that's basically what they look like though. course, the commie shit apartment blocks are worse but, the "modern" American home is fucking absolute filth made to the lowest standard.

>suburbs
>have to speed through residential streets for three miles to even get to the next major road
>tons of people who don't care about driving forced to drive
>much higher cost for infrastructure maintenance per tax payer
>much higher transport costs for necessary routes per person

>DRIVE IN CITY
>cramped streets
>potholes and bumps everywhere
>crosswalks
>low speed limits
>speed cameras
>red light cameras
>no winding roads
>traffic everywhere

>DRIVE IN SUBURB
>sit in gridlock traffic on the freeway for 5 hours everyday
>every single road is a straight line

Because I work on commercial hvac equipment for a living and the city provides a big market for my work.

Why do certain Americans hate trees?
Seriously, these old New England style suburbs with lots of trees look much much comfier.

Cities and Suburbs are both for cucks. Pro-tier is living 10-15 miles away from your job in something that could be considered countryside, and having a commute that's mostly highway with a little unavoidable city driving. You'll also have an alternate route that doesn't use the highway but is vaguely parallel to it, and more fun to drive because there's less cops and more turns. It might take longer if you follow the speed limit but it's worth not being a faggot stuck in rush hour traffic.

Are you autistic?

Because fuck nature if it's in the way of your construction site and might fall on your house someday.

Having a job? Lmao, what a fucking cuck.
Pro-tier is being self-employed.

>live in rural montana
Drive 100+ on your own personal stretch of empty interstate

After waiting for three days for it to be cleared of snow.

>be NEET
>call it self-employment

>The biggest companies are in cities and pay the most

Microsoft .. nope.
Apple .. nope.
Boeing .. nope.
Google .. nope.

>so you can actually afford a nice car.

After you've paid your big city rent. And don't forget parking, which no longer comes with city apartments/condos.

Yeah ok cuckboi, whatever makes you feel better.

depends on the section of montana you in.

where i am its only snowy for 4 months and the roads are plowed pretty much instantly so you can go dagumi on ice

Apple is in Cupertino and Google is in Mountain View. They are cities in their own right.

>Rural areas are best
Unless you want to have a job. In which case, suburb is best.
As long as you don't have an HOA. Fuck fascists.

actually the city has a better bus system
this is what 99% of Veeky Forums posters use anyways

Most people with actual sports cars that cost a minimum of 100 grand live in suburbs. Its a matter of fact, at least in LA.

Boeing HQ is in Chicago.

>live in one of the 15 most populous cities in the US
>streets are fairly big
>pretty much never gridlock except at a few parts at the interstate at rush hour which are easy to avoid if you have a brain
>okay, yes, potholes and crosswalks
>pay 300 dollars a month for my portion of rent/utilities on a nice apartment with plenty of room for the two of us in a good neighborhood
>parking included
>has pro-sports teams, museums, restaurants etc. that I want to go to
>both of our jobs are close
Guess the city. Protip: it clearly isn't a coastal shithole
ALSO
>driving for fun in the city
Shiggy
Just leave town, it isn't hard. Unless you LIVE in a mountain pass, you'll have to drive to reach the togue anyway

i live in the city:
cops dont care about speeding
no red light cams
massive amount of choice when shopping and eating
tunnels
city isnt crowded at night
always somthing to do
dont have to drive if i dont want to
better pay
lower taxes

>>pay 300 dollars a month for my portion of rent/utilities on a nice apartment with plenty of room for the two of us in a good neighborhood

Somewhere in Ohio?

atleast you fuckers have options
im on an 80 sq.mi island with a fuck ton of traffic, shitty infrastructure and bad drivers
>tfw no highways or tracks

Chicago. Because you think it's some kind of magical place and not a nigger-infested shithole and all city dwellers are pozzed.

Nope, you can't afford anywhere nice in actual Chicago for that kind of money. There is a nigger-infested shithole side of town here, but we don't live there. If we did we would have a house for what we pay.
Nope.
You're both right to guess Midwest though.

Indiana

>live in middle of city
>still only less than 2.5 hours from half a dozen tracks

You forgot one thing

>highways and tunnels everywhere that are connected so you can live out your Wangan midnight fantasies

>live in LA
>Plenty of winding roads in the hills
>Plenty of empty streets at night to race
If you know you're way around here then there's plenty of good places to drive. The worst drivers are the ones that go 60 on a 25 mile road and have a giant truck/mustang. Just buy a piece of shit car if youre going to live in the city, it's not worth driving around in traffic with a fucking V8.

ahahaha eat shit

Small city master race

>10 minutes into the city for comfy midnight Drive-tier cruises
>20 minutes to mountain pass driving

My city has winding roads and I can count the red light cameras on one hand.

Every morning I wake up to the sound of a v8 or motorcycle i4 screaming down the nearby twisty with it's one good corner.

>implying having a 100k+ makes you an enthusiast by default
