I like my wheels but I guarantee that I'm the only one who likes them

I like my wheels but I guarantee that I'm the only one who likes them.

Why waste money on fancy wheels?
Just get plain steel rims.

I love my wheels, but everyone on Veeky Forums hates them. They're at the powder coat shop now being redone. I went with a different style center cap with Vintage OZ decals to break up the smooth look of the face.

I don't see anything wrong, but I can't make an assessment without seeing the rest of the car.

What kind of wheel is that?

Like most aftermarket wheels from the late 80s to early 90s, I don't like them personally, but I have to respect that your particular Momos are pretty rare to find nowadays, they were pretty big in the very early 90s.

Momo I.D.E.A

...

Hey, if you like it and it works, roll with it (no 90's pun intended)!

r8 my wheels

...

Just seems silver doesn't match. Maybe actual white or black.

Muh unsprung weight

these aren't bad, they have that 90s tuning look about them.

they look oldschool 1990s, theyd look ok on a late 80s shitbox or a 90s shitbox

youre not wrong

R8

Solid 6/10

yee

I like them.

gay

this is now a stronk steel thread

tfw never had steelies that weren't 90% rust

Simply paint them when they're new

Those look fucking awesome, would love them depending on car/style

>steel rims
>strong
Pick one.

I've never had new ones

It bent instead of shattering like a cast wheel. That is strong.

Garbage disposal should stay in the kitchen my dude

steelies are shite cunt

I like old late 90's momo wheels a lot.

late 90's.

In the early 80's people could only afford tyres for 15" wheels or smaller.

They are on an old 90's golf.....

Why get multi piece wheels if youre gonna throw a 90s sedan face on there lmao

Yeah and u can whack it back straight ad naseum unlike cast alloy wheels

I had these rims back in 96' because im old. They are heavy and brittle...basically anything sold today will perform better.

>Momo Ideas without color-matched spokes
>casual mode

Also arrows were/are superior

I clean rims at a car wash, among other things. The worst rims aesthetically AND cleaning-wise are either the brotruck 17-piece rims with 6" lugs everywhere or the basketweave-looking tire-poppers found on negro cars.

pics?

Sand and paint your old ones

No pics from work, and I'm assuming you know about the tire-poppers, so I'm talking about these fucks. They're a humongous pain in the ass to clean all the nooks and crannies, and usually pretty big too. At least most of the customers with them request no Armor-All for the tires.

Your wheels look better than a lot of other wheels ONCE THEY ARE MOVING. While turning, your wheels have a dark center dot followed by a light ring followed by a dark ring followed by a light ring and finally followed by the dark ring of the tire itself. All those alternating light vs dark rings makes your wheels stand out once your car is moving.

So your wheels have personality that is revealed once the wheels are turning.
