Valk is both more stable in her survivability and more effective in melee. Chroma is a good gunframe. They make a good pair as they feed eachother their buffs.

Valk and Chroma don't compete. They fill different roles and have a very synergistic relationship.

At the level where builds and synergies actually matter: chroma would focus hardened and/or specialized targets like heavy gunner eximuses or nullifiers while valk would clear the soft targets and whatever else she can get to quickly.

This setup works very well.
