As per her lore, Vayne kills even good people if they happen to be involved in magicks. She enjoys the thrill of the hunt itself and the bloodshed. She is definitely closer to Vlad than she used to per as per her old lore. She almost gets off from it.

I think they reversed roles a bit for J4 and Shyvana. In old lore J4 came to a village and rescued Shyvana being an orphan girl, in the new one Shyvana is the one who took care of J4 instead.
