nah, i've had decent success solo queuing with her. you just have to try and think one step ahead of the enemy team, always listen for people trying to be sneaky, and stay out of the red team's line of sight
about 40% of the losses ive had this season were when i queued with irl friends....

I once read this interesting Deadeye tweak idea on reddit.

It was about making it charge way slower than it currently does, but if you look at the general direction of McCree, if you face him, it charges way faster. And if you look straight at him, it charges SANIC fast.

Makes kind of sense, too, he's a cowboi, and deadeye is his duel phase.
