Not a chance. I'm 5'10 and even I struggled in that thing.

The AU had a solid drivetrain, and bulletproof motor. The Windsor V8 was a honest performer, and sounded nice.

The BA/BF, whilst having a much nicer interior, switched to a 2pinion diff instead of 4. Any serious power upgrades resulted in blown diffs.

BA/BF/FG also had the hideous rear setup that requires the entire rear cradle to be dropped to replace the diff bushes and rose joints, and they ALWAYS flog out.

Looks are subjective anyway. OP's picture was a series 2 falcon, which had styling updates to improve the looks over the S1. It also has a TS50 bodykit, which means it came with a hand-built Tickford V8 offering 220kw (normal windsor v8 only had 185kw at the time)

The transmissions in AUs were garbage though and the handling can be best described as "floppy".

They were never sold outside Australia. They're based on an Opel Omega A (pic related) but aside from slight bodywork similarities, underneath they were completely different engine and transmission wise. Plus the Australians altered the suspension too.

The bodywork hardly looks the same despute being based off it to.

Why does everyone think the US sepc E36 is gimped? The engine is strong as hell and for the market, it was appropriately priced and modified to reflect that price.

No you dont. Their only merit is being cheap, which doesnt matter since you can buy something used for the same price which will outlast it by 5 years and drive much better while doing it.
