the actual effect is more disappointing, but you could always just summon her off of formula/librarian/doppel token

the real question is what the point of having her revive something is if you can't use it as synchro material.

With the correct cards, maybe you can summon REDMD if it got sent to the graveyard. Discard Lightpulsar.

The only negative chaos goddess offers is that the things she revives can't be used for synchro summoning but you can do xyz summon and it doesn't make the rez monster not attack or not activate its effect ot dies at the End phase.
And Darklords happen to be BIG level 5 DARK monsters that enjoy being in the graveyard.

Also forgot to mention. Her effect is still very useful in this days. My Northwemko may be easier to summon but her effect is pretty much defensive, and it works better in late games, so sometimes I have more problems at building decks with her, since it needs more aggresive cards.
I sometimes wish I could have a retrain or upgrade, maybe a direct support, but I know that will not happen unless life want to prove me wrong.
