Old man stink edition

>What does each element do?

>What should I do with the armour/weapons I don't want/use?
Purple/Blue = Disassemble (Then use the blue mats to forge a purple if you have enough)
Yellow/White = Sell or you can give it to the kodamas for amrita and the odd free item.

>What does the summoning candle do?
It returns your guardian spirit to you when you die along with the amrita you collected.

>Should I use soul match?
Honestly, no, not unless you have basically finished the game and have a weapon with some really great stats. As you progress you will get a steady flow of new weapons and armour that is better than what you have. Don't waste your money on soul matching until later.

>Why do people keep mentioning "smithing texts"?
Bosses tend to drop pieces of their armour and weapons when you defeat them. Very rarely they will drop a smithing text which allows you to forge their armour/weapon.

>Which clan should I join? (clan unlocked through progression)
Whichever one has a bonus that you think will benefit your build the most.
Smaller clans receive more rewards in battles.

First for Anjin

I want to complete Return of the Gourd more often to farm for stuff, but one completion takes a long time. I think I'll have to finally buckle down and start putting points in to unlock Sloth to solely deal with Yasuke.

Am I a degenerate for considering this?

is the gold farm in op's guide meant to be done in way of the strong? i didnt do it in way of the strong and only got 50k

>-Sozasa Monji won from A Meeting on the Other Shore does not have the locked Strong Attack Damage. (it doesn't have that ability at all, in fact). If you wanted CCD+15% or some other damage ability on the National Unity weapon, this is your only chance.

Fuck can someone confirm? Starting new game if true

I just finished the quest by spamming living weapon and throwing blinding shells at Oda.

tome lewds when

She can sharpen my spear if you know what I mean

i don't know what you mean

What's the best sword in the game if I'm pure 1kat?

any of the legendary 1kats

>Nioh 2 rolls around
>this time we play as Miyamoto Musashi

Warrior of the west sword. Why? Because it beats Kingos sword and for optimal damage you want 4 kingos/4 warrior of the west pieces, which requires both of the swords to be equipped.

Whatever you like. You can reforge and soul match the weapons to improve them anyway. But I like elemental weapons.

I mean 5 kingos 3 warrior of the west, with -1 set req accessory obviously.

Guys how do i do the thing?

>Nioh 3 is announced
>Main character is Jules Brunet

GIVE IT TO ME YOU SLIMY FUCKS

>Nioh 4 is announced
>Main character is Ken-Sama

>i need to grind to be able to do grind missions.
fuck this game
no matter how skilled you are if you dont have OP items, its instant death.

stop doing nioh threads you are just hurting yourselves

How can i get a divine Takezo's Headband.
I got a purple when i finished the mission, and then never seen it as a drop or text.

>decide to check out new patch
>devs decided "DUDE LETS COPY DARK SOULS 2 LMAO"

I've reached a bit of an embarrassing situation where my Kunais deal more damage (~710) than my normal attacks (~690)

Which equipment slots can have Close Combat Damage? And with which skills does it conflict?

>tfw love the game but have to see how no one talks about it, there's nothing to talk about and threads end up barely empty or die very soon

It's not fair, the game is pretty cool

Any reason to up my stamina? I'm feeling great already with my 2.7 weight armors.

Best amrita farm?

What are the practical applications of Smoke bombs? Is it just an static version of Suppa? Should I just use Suppa instead?

Last time I checked DKR was still the best route

best familiar for living weapon?

I want to give dual sword/kusarigama a try. Any must have skills?

Blade spin and whirlwind are the ultimate shitter skills to remove as much thought as possible from your fights.

Bomb: works wonders on bosses

is it viable to just kill revenants and take their gear opposed to upgrading my own? my sword is gunna cost millions to upgrade and im only 3 regions in

Don't upgrade stuff until you're in NG+.

so just keep killing revenants?

Sure, but even without them you'll constantly find better stuff as you go forward.

i keep getting warrior of the west stuff off revenants is it one of the better sets for this point in the game?

When I'm reforging, and get the bonus I want after a couple of tries on say, the third line yet I'd prefer it on the second as it would be more beneficial to me. Is there any way to know if it will even appear on the second line?

Well I'd say it has the best set bonuses you can get early in the game.

Not that guy but it's a decent set if you intend to pair it with 1kat and Raiken
However, you might not want to wear it fully since one of the later bonuses nulls the extra damage you deal from the back

Any alternative gauntlets that look good with the Ebony armor? I love it's look but the reinforced glove looks a little too big for my tastes

Saved you from the second to last row in the catalog.

I'm Kodama hunting currently. Once I get the final one, can I just go to a shrine to save and then use a Himorogi or do I have to finish the entire level?

You can leave the mission once all Kodamas are found.

Talking of weapon synergy. Which weapons go well with others? What good matches are there?

(Discussion for this game really is dead, damn)

>ninja skill "increases carrying capacity of kayaku-dama and horoku-dama"
>doesn't apply to ninjutsu-bombs

Tell me about ninjutsu. What should I farm/use to make it as good as it can be?

The game can really be so misleading at times
But in a sense it was to be expected, as Justus don't come with a carry limit, each charge has it's predetermined amount of uses and that's it

Still it's a shame you can't become one with the bombs

I'm no expert, so take this with a grain of salt, but I might as well buy time until one comes

Overall Iga Jonin is a good place to start.
If you want to deal straight damage, like plain shurikens and kunais, Concealment is the way to go (and is with about any use of projectiles, it's a pretty significant boost), along with stacking long range damage bonuses. If you want to specialise in stuff like poisons, there are as well bonuses that increase its recurrent damage. Going that route it's a good idea to have at least two different debuffs so you can inflict Discord

Looking for the Unlimited Ninjutsu bonus is also pretty useful, as one can imagine.
However, I've heard that, while the bat GS can provide 19% unlimited ninjutsu, Kato is better for raw damage because of it's buffs. You get fewer shots, but considerably stronger
