Thinking about selling both of my cars and picking this up instead.
What does Veeky Forums think?
Anyone on here own/has owned a SC300? What are their weak points?

Haven't owned but here:
+good for summer driving
+fast
+seems in good shape, little work to do
-people will think your pee pee is small
-moonroof could possibly be prone to issues, but I wouldn't worry about it
Everything has its own computer module. Like fucking everything. Power windows is a module. HVAC is a module. Radio has a module. Gets annoying.
Also here is another one Im thinking about getting. Its got cosmetic damage though but less mileage and cheaper
I live in New England and I plan on driving it in the probably unless I pick up a winter shitbox.
So do you think I should stay away? I know its a Lexus but I assumed these are fairly cheap to maintain.
They are cheap to maintain, but because of the module system it can be a real bitch if you want to do upgrades. If you do any engine mods, you'll have to go with a piggyback system to keep your original ECU because it interfaces with the rest of the system. You won't have power locks, windows, etc without your original ECU.
>Manual
Give me the ad, I'm gonna buy it right now.
hm interesting. Thanks for your input user.
Would I be better off with the cheaper SC300 with damage or the immaculate one? pic related is the interior of the immaculate one.
Im not sure if I plan on doing engine upgrades
hehe maybe user maybe
and the engine bay
Immaculate one. A clean SC300 is incredibly hard to find, and that manual one is rare as fuck.
I can't believe I traded in my super clean 96 79k mile sc400 on a stupid ass new cruze. Oh well
why the fuck would you do that?
Are you stupid? Why am I even asking. Of course you are.
sc400s never came manual tho, only automatic
You didn't deserve that car to begin with, retard.
They were offered with a manual, they are just very rare.
no they weren't
Totally buy it. 100k miles on that engine is NOTHING. I bought my IS300 at 215,000 miles and doesn't skip a beat 20k miles laster. Do the typical, regular maintenance and that engine will last you for a long ass time.
get an sc400 much more reliable engine and better car overall
>More reliable than memeJZ
Both uz and jz are already at top tier reliable.
1uz doesn't come in manual and SC300 is easier to swap to a turbo 1jz or 2jz.
have a 95 V8 soarer
good
>fast
>great handling
>looks good
>superb cornering
bad
>electrics will fuck up
>engine is a pig to work on, for the v8 at least
>everything is expencive, everything
wait my mistake this is a fairly different car with the same chassis
Ignore what i said i have no idea
Wtf....hope it's in better hands
I want a manual
