It seems like OoT is the Sealing War as desribed in LttP, except instead of a massive war that was barely won by locking Ganon in with the triforce, it was a single battle fought by one guy to lock Ganon in with a piece of the triforce.
It seemed easier to rectify the difference by saying if there wasn't a Link in OoT then LttP is what would happen.

Ocarina of time ends with the defeat of Ganon

Well that timeline still continues, with Hyrule in ruins and with no Hero in it, that's the adult timeline. As we're told in WW, when Ganon showed up again, there was no hero so the goddesses decided to pull a god on Hyrule and flooded everything. But there was no Noe and no Ark, so everyone but a handful of people died.

Downfall timeline is basically a "Link lost in the final fight" so the sages have to go all out in a war against Ganon, also called the imprisoning war.

Uh, I'm not following you, but basically Adult timeline is what you see after you pull the sword in OoT, with Hyrule in ruins and it continues after Link saves all the sages and defeats Ganon. When Ganon comes back, Hyrule is flooded, because Zelda sent Link back in time with the Ocarina creating a split.

Child timeline is basically this same Link coming back and meeting Zelda for the first time, but having all the information to have the King of the Gerudo executed before he can do anything, plus Link never pulls this Master Sword so the Sacred Realm is protected.

Downfall timeline is a full play through of OoT except Link loses to Ganon in the last fight for whatever fucking reason. No one fucking knows why, and then the sages have to wage an imprisoning war against him or whatever.

The game to some extent, expects you to get a horse and use it to get to Kakariko and Hatelia.

After that it expects you to pick up on the fact that Horses are a fast way to travel the land by following the roads. Also it helps out to plan how to approach other areas, since you can follow the road and see most other things in the distance anyways, so it's nice.

I really love how useful horses are in this game, compared to all sorts of travel forms in previous zelda games.

The timeline convergence makes a lot of sense given how BotW seems to reference all timelines

Several people have commented in multiple threads on how aggressive Gerudo genes are and my point is that they are very aggressive or dominant rather but this game has a Gerudo's ancestry not being completely invisible without asking. They still have dominant genes but you can tell what race their father was.

Unless you think that differences in appearances are just random mutations, not spending enough time in the sun or a look the Gerudo is going for

He did want to segregate the old games so as to not worry about them causing another WW issue, but LttP is arguably a stronger story for it. Instead of being a retread it's now a tale of the next generation succeeding where the previous one failed. It kind of was like that to start with anyway. Instead of just being a retread.

I have come to accept the fact that Lynel weapons were meant to be used against Lynels. They break, they break.

I tried the whole Lightning arrow to the head and it rarely stuns them. I tried the Urbosa's thing and they generally hit me mid animation stopping it.

But I am great at dodging and eating ATK up food.

no they attack at the speed of fucking light and you get more stabs with a spear in bullet time then you do with a sword or club resulting in the same or sometimes more damage

You can crit them from behind too, sort of by hitting them in the back of the neck/ between the shoulder blades. Idk if it's intended or a weird hitbox thing

Zora from OoT were turned into Rito by the goddess so they wouldn't be able to discover flooded Hyrule in the adult timeline.

As for BotW, this only reaffirms that this is a convergence timeline.

Zora had 100 years to evolve into Rito in WW

BotW is 10,000 years after the last Ganon fight

We don't know how much time there is between that fight 10k years ago and the last Zelda game before it

Rito and Zora have had so much time to evolve it doesn't even matter and I'm surprised there are no new races instead
