Yeah, but I love this phone. It's my 5th M7.

Forgot to mention, this is for a 2000 Chevy K2500

i pay double that for a miata.
>Netherlands
>not even best roads in the world.
theglobaleconomy.com/rankings/roads_quality/
Also: we pay 1.50 euro per liter. That's 4.25 dollar per gallon.
on the upside: i never have to ride my bicycle on perfect bicycle lanes for more than 15 minutes to get anywhere i need to go.

road tax is based on weight, power and fueltype. (and axle layout for trucks, steered axles are taxed less than unsteered axles.)

My rego is 666 dollars a year here in Australia.

> Weight fee

Fuck that shit. My car weighs as much as an aircraft carrier, I wouldn't even want to know what my fucking tags would cost there.

>costs $20 to not drive your car anymore

Europe here, it's like 50 eurobucks to register a car and once it's done you only have to pay 15€ every two years for inspection.

6.5USD a gallon*

>american complaining about taxes
>they still pay infinitely less thant the rest of the civilized world
Litteracy pottery

Here plates for a 6.7 L suburban is 1400 a year. My 4.3 s10 are 400 they say it's for the environment but you can run catless and they don't care.

my bad. you are right.

what kind of shithole in europe are we talking about?
Netherlands has mandatory yearly inspections which are around 25/30 euro.

Lithuania
Freedom ain't free.

I know that feel, 700+ in vic

>You have to pay to stop paying
Can't make this shit up

>weight fee
Eat less you fatass

>weight fee

Check you priviliege you fat shaming cis shitlord

welcome to the people's republic of commiefornia

I hope the baby in that stroller died

You must live in Eastern Europe tho.

Inspection in Germany costs 100€. Tax on my 1.3 petrol Toyota Yaris is 90€/year.

don't cut yourself on that edge, bro

OH NO $260 TO REGISTER YOUR CAR

YOU POOR FUCKING SNOWFLAKE THAT'S NEARLY $20 A MONTH

YOU SHOULD GO ON A KILLING SPREE STARTING WITH YOURSELF

how is it commie to actually pay for what you get?
you pay to register, you pay to maintain registration and you pay to un-register or change status into not-driving.
all services that are executed by a person who needs to get paid.
the fact that it is mandatory to participate in these services seems rather trivial to me in relation as to wether or not you should pay for services.
and why it is mandatory? only in the communist world is the use of infrastructure free as in no money required. why would somebody who barely or even not uses the road pay for a buffoon who likes to toss around as much weight as possible?
to me it would seem utterly communist to just expect the state to do everything for you. let mother government tuck you in so you don't have to worry about what anything will cost.

because in commiefornia there also exists the highest gas tax in the nation

you pay out the ass for every little thing in that state

And grt virtually nothing out of it

They placed the stroller there after the fact to enforce "fun car kills babies" media agenda

>you pay to un-register or change status into not-driving.
NOT DOING SOMETHING THEY NORMALLY CHARGE YOU FOR SHOULD NOT REQUIRE YET ANOTHER PAYMENT TO THE GOVERNMNET YOU FUCKING KEKOLD

>pisswater for gas
>libtards & chinks clogging up the state
>libtard mandated cancer labels on everything
>costs 6 figures to live in a cardboard box
>overrun by tourists
>cant modify your car
>the most autistic police force to ever exist
>emissions
>inspections
>faggots with daddies money running around shitting up the state

why do people live in commiefornia again?
>b-b-b-but muh fun twisty roads!!!!1!!1!!!1!!!
>b-b-but muh cultural diversity

kill yourselves you worthless human beings

It's got nice weather and good jobs.

hey goy make sure you pay for the high speed rail that'll never be finished :^)

The cost of living negates the 'good' jobs.

Lol. I just paid $196 to register a vanity plate on a vehicle I don't drive because it's being worked on. If I don't renew, the vanity plate goes back in the pool.

Thanks Illinois!

I literally just payed that fee. 400 bucks for the entire thing including smog. Fuck this state

things should be free.
>otherwise its commie.
we can debate why things cost as much as they do but not wanting to pay is a purely childish/communist.
I have some news for you kiddo. The world is not a candy store. A lot of purchases you make require more than just a onetime payment when you buy them. Some things require maintenance, some things you need to put fuel in, some things are registered by the government. And that costs money. Some due diligence can be expected from civilians.
I maintain that if you want things from the government for free you are actually the communist. (which is just a political opinion. one i absolutely do not share, but to each his own.)
and believe me, i know it sucks that those registrations exist and are necessary. it is to prevent idiots driving around and killing people in deathtraps and to make sure everybody pays for the roads they use. off course it would be nice if it was free. but unfortunately nothing is free.
and you could say that when everybody uses about the same amount of all those services you could also pay them with general taxes to reduce overhead. but that's actually a step towards socialism that i'm definitely not comfortable with.

...

>tfw i live illinois too
i'm going to escape this shithole the instant I'm done with college

What happens if you just stop paying the registration and taxes?

Brown sends the suede denim secret police to execute you with organic poison gas

I work in biotech in san diego, there really aren't that many other choices. Although I hear Raleigh/Durham has a lot of work too and have been dreaming about a place that is less of a liberal hellhole. Maybe one day.

That's cool that you can run catless. I made this as a point because in the states, they keep telling people to come to California, that it's awesome and affordable, but compared to other places, it really isn't.

This. This also is infuriating and where the "gas tax" came from and is for.

eastern europe:
inspection 25€
road tax for a sub 2 liter is 90€, 2.5-3 liter is 170-200€
insurance for my e60 525d is 200€ per year

>tfw paying about $40/yr for my car and $20/yr for each of my bikes
That includes registration and tax

Well obviously you get pulled over if you still drive it with expired tags, but if you let it sit without paying the Non-Op fee, when it comes time to reregister or do a title transfer you (or the new buyers) have to pay all the backfees from while it was sitting, not being used. Calijews know how to get their shekels.

Who cares you tremendous faggot?

Who the fuck says it's affordable?
It's one of the most expensive states to live in.

>Can't legally go over 100
Nah, I'll pass

You forgot the registration is quadrupling in price next year because governor brown tax. Also gas tax is going up 4x this after the governator raised registration fees a few years ago along with doubling state park camping and entrance fees to try and keep mexicnas out of state owned lands because they ruin everything with their 10 kids and garbage gang graffiti everywhere.

The new transportation taxes take a couple of different forms. The new gas tax takes effect Nov. 1, so that’s when drivers will see a bump of 12 cents per gallon. Diesel fuel tax goes up 20 cents a gallon, plus an additional 4 percent sales tax.

On top of new taxes at the pump, Californians will also pay more at car registration time starting Jan. 1. The new vehicle fees — there are two of them — are supposed to go to road repairs.

One, called a "Transportation Improvement Fee," is based on a car's value — from $25 for an aging econobox, to $175 for a luxury ride. Most car owners will pay less than $50 a year, state officials said.

The other fee is only for zero-emissions vehicles like those that run on electric batteries or compressed natural gas. Owners of those vehicles will be charged $100 a year starting in 2020

Despite Californians paying among the highest income taxes, sales taxes, and gas taxes in the nation, Jerry Brown's new gas tax raises the tax on fuel by 67% California's worst in the nation traffic. In fact, Brown's new gas tax legislation actually has specific language that will reduce lane capacity and increase traffic."

I paid $3.55 a gallon for regular today my county has a .30 clean air tax added to gas love California I will stay till I'm the last white man here. That shouldn't be long it's 78% Mexican now.

It's under $2.50 per gallon on the east coast, cuck

$2.839 a gallon here at Arco in Madera, CA.

can Californians get any more cucked?

The limit's 130km/h
You just gotta know where the radars are

$2.20 here in Kansas City

God, I know. Those cuckolds and their need to maintain roads and infrastructure.

more like they need to distribute it to their government cronies and just generally waste it

>weight fee
lmao the roads in california are so mediocre though that could be because its the state with the most km of roads in america.

California has amazing roads are you dumb or you haven't actually been anywhere else?

holy shit $260 for a 20 year old truck?

here in Best State in the Union I pay like $40 for my '97 Grand Cherokee

that place is fucked. get out as soon as you can user

>amazing roads
Maybe only in the coastline

Yeah I can't wait to go live in the desert to save $100 a year...

you don't need to live in the desert to get out of that commie shit hole. go pick any state, or the northern half of Arizona. ever been to Prescott, Sedona, Flagstaff, Show Low, or Pine Top? google some pics

I prefer the ocean to rocks

also

>$100/yr

funny shit. it isn't just your vehicle registration you are getting skullfucked on, but its a nice nugget of the bigger picture

I pay €1500 to insure a 1.6 diesel Auris, 08.

Is this bad or good in comparison to other countries?

I'm not getting fucked at all. I live in a beautiful area with beautiful weather 15 minutes from amazing driving roads and 15 minutes from a beautiful beach. I pay $1600 mortgage and gas is under 3 dollars. Feeling great to be honest.

>pic related
>rocks

now I understand why you prefer the beach. plenty of sand to keep your head burried

Everyone in this thread bitching about muh taxes, muh mods, muh cost of living is a salty poorfag stop being poor faggots we don't need your bitch ass in california and stay in your irrelevant state

>meanwhile
>refugees welcome!
>illegals welcome!

now post the unedited version

pulling down $215,000/yr and keeping more of it to myself

stop projecting so hard pedro, not everyone is struggling to eat in a commie shit hole

>stop projecting
stop projecting

You pay 50% of that in taxes (and get nothing for it) and you're talking about getting fucked, kek.

Stay flyover, autismo.

Better fill up there before you drive to the beach this weekend.

>maintain roads
>California
Haha. Try living somewhere cold where the roads last 2 years max. Even NJ pays less for that shit than Cali and we need to spend billions on our roads. California is just picking the taxpayers' pockets. And luckily they're too stupid over there to realize it.

Better gun laws
Lower taxes
Lower crime rates
Less nignogs
Lower cost of living
Less commies

What's not to love?

There's a big difference between a 3/4 ton truck that can legally pull like 3 tons, and a soccer practice suv that can pull like a shit camper or some kayaks.
I happen to own a 96 grand cherokee, and the registration was $85 or so.

More Mexicans in az even more then CA no thanks.

Arizona's population; of which 59.6% were Non-Hispanic Whites.

No single racial or ethnic group forms a majority of California's population, making the state a minority-majority state. Hispanics (of any race) are the largest single ethnic group in the state.[11] Spanish is the state's second most spoken language.

>What's not to love?
You know, it sounds so good, but I just can't seem to put my finger on a certain flaw I experienced last time I was there.
I

As of 2015, California has the largest minority population in the United States. Non-Hispanic whites decreased from about 76.3 - 78% of the state's population in 1970[16] to 38.0% in 2015.

lol I had my FiST nearly overheat when I went to Arizona in the summer

get your shitbox sorted out. your cooling system should handle Arizona summers with ease if its in proper order

>still thinks this is all of Arizona
>Flagstaff high of 71 and low of 42 on the 1st of June
>2/3 of the state has this weather

How as probably going slow up a hill with A/C on or something

>I'm a baby that cant deal with dry heat

I had AC maxing out with the car fully loaded going up a hill.

>how is it commie to actually pay for what you get?
It's more like commie to base your payment on the value of your car.
Guess which wears out the road faster, sports cars or F-350's?
Yet somehow, the sports cars wind up paying far more to the state than the trucks do.

were you trying to put the maximum load possible in the engine or what?
