Shitposting is fine every once in a while but when every thread devolves into GM vs Ferd vs GT-R vs whatever the fuck else every single goddamn time for I don't even know how many years it's been going on now we've clearly crossed a line, kept going to see what would happen, circled around the world and crossed the line again a few more times and our brakes still aren't working.

We don't need anyone cracking down on anything, just to take that edge off and let the dust settle a bit.

We have moderation. The problem is when the mods ban the shitposters, they're either phoneposters or have a VPN. It's basically impossible to stop them from shitposting unless they do a range ban and that's going to cause a lot of collateral damage.

Only the userbase can improve the board. It's easy as fuck to change IP address quickly these days so bans mean next to nothing. If you report every retarded spammy "what car is this" and "corvette vs GTR" thread and stop responding to the shitposters, they will get bored and go back to reddit.

Personally I think they've lost their touch. Alphonse used to be one of only a few shit posters and would at least have variety.
