Who eternal CEL here?

who eternal CEL here?

I stalled my car one day and
>service engine soon
came on.
It's been there for like a year.

Mine has been on for 4 years. Still passes inspection every year and has never broken down. Thank you Toyota

its never on when i first start the car but after driving at freeway speed in 5th or above 3k revs in 4th for a few minutes it will come on. it will sometimes turn off again once at city speeds and won't be there the next time i start it

Yes. That #0420blazeitlyfe.

>CEL comes on
>use code reader to clear it
>don't even check the code

>check code
>look it up online
>could be dirty sensor
>clear it every time

CEL came back last week

Mines been on for 2 months for small evap leak. Replaced the gas cap and its still on. Fuck it, still runs fine and mileage still solid.

Mine has been on for 6 years for that same reason. It magically turns off every time I need to get a smog check tho only to she CEL a couple days later

>evap leak
>fuel sensor bank reading low
>cat effeciancy low
>random cylinder missfire
I just keep the scanner plugged in at this point

My CEL burnt out a year ago. It's been on for at least 4. Good news is I can sell it to a dealership for a solid $400 again

My car had a cel for o2 sensor, instead of replacing it i just used an o2 sensor spacer, $4 on amazon. Car runs normal

>evap codes and shit come on
>drive car like normal
>goes away
>random o2 sensor/maf code
>always ends up going away

shits cash

My CEL was on. Coded bad MAF sensor. cleaned it, came back on. replaced it, came back on...

>EGR code
IDGAF, I hope that shit is broken

> cel pid code 446747858 cat efficiency bellow threshold.

Lol wat cat.

>OBD1
>light only comes on when something is really, really, fucked up

>OBD1
>Aftermarket ECU
Absolutely no CEL ever

>2010 Silverado
>throttle position sensor
Been this way for about a year now. Will turn itself on randomly for a few hits then off again for several days

>po420
>po134
>po150

JUST

The only time the CEL is off is when the bulb's burnt out. VAG life.

96 integra eternal check engine light die to evap system issues. Ive tried replaci g several parts but im not soending 500 bucks for new parts for something my county doesnt even care about.

P1456 is gas tank side evap leak (bad gas cap or not tightened enough)

P1457 is canister side evap leak. Then you have to get underneath the car to replace canister shutoff/purge/ one of the other valves, or check the hoses

>code for faulty crank positioning sensor
>Replaced it a few months ago already after I got the same code
>Car still runs fine
I'll take it

>Malfunction: ESP - Refer to Owner's Manual
>ESP Unavailable, Visit Workshop
>implying I use traction control anyway

>Still passes inspection every year

Where are you? Our inspections (WA State) consist of plugging a reader in and looking for the CEL/codes.

I imagine that it's on for the same reason I smell exhaust in the car

Spoonfeed me a good scanner

Ever fall asleep at a stop light?

Every time I go offroading in my Jeep, the car will lurch forward for a split-second while driving at speed, then return to normal. The CEL comes on every time, and the same code always pops up: Throttle Position Sensor overload/high voltage

I just clear the code and wait until it pops up again

>EGR sensor

Bluetooth shit on amazon + torque app.

>mfw my car doesn't have a check engine light

>Rx8
>cel for rear 02
>drop cat
>it's clogged
>gut cat
>eternal cel

unless i feel like dropping $400 for a cobb ap to turn it off.

P0068?

>2010 Audi A4
>mixture lean off-idle
>mixture rich on-idle

I've got a bad charcoal canister or something so it always stays on.

Until I decide to get a $180 sensor for a $1000 dollar Elantra. So yeah, eternal.

P0102

My check engine light has only come on once.
I took it to the shop the next day.

The fuel cap wasn't screwed on all the way.

I'm pretty much running open headers.
Been driving like that for about 2 years
Fuck it

>Check engine
>It's not the engine

Just before I replaced the battery.

The eternal Saab life...

>this little shit appears
>can't go below 3rd gear and tq never locks
>use reader to clear P0705, it comes back in 10 seconds
>repeat a few times
>it goes away for another few days

That's how you get coolant in your cylinders nigga, you don't want that

Why is it always the Integras with the evap codes? I've replaced the gas cap and nothing.

t. '99 Integra

I don't have a CEL
