Which crafting/gathering guilds are the most useful for a newbie?

Go Green Thumbs, Herbside Service, Fishers, Acquired Taste, and Silver Cauldron.

When you get all of them to level 4 each, you can sell Sweet Potatoes almost 2g each, or use those to craft cookies and royal dyes for more dosh per sale. With this setup you are completely self sufficient for crafting and selling royal dyes with a single character. You should be able to grab the needed startup gold and other materials from dungeons as you do your dailies and level/gear up.

Mistake, ignore the Herbside Service, get the Fishers instead of that. I didn't revise my initial post properly.
