I came to GBF after FGO (had chink phone, got booted last yer by FGO, and I came back to mobage recently)
FGO had nice freebie characters (at least when I played), plenty of free stuff (I was literally swimming in gems and tickets waiting for Semiramis) and the most important part - working rateups. I don't know FGO rates, but on average 20-30 pulls per rateup to get a character I wanted.
In GBF though, I get scammed by gacha all the time which makes me want to quit (drawing 2 titans in 10pull during DRK rateup), storyline is as childish as it can get and I have to skip it all the time which is annoying, and game has competetive aspects (which FGO didn't have) that is ruined by completely unbalanced character/element grids that instead of making me feel good about competing, makes me feel bad and salty I didn't roll the "esport" character or didn't play the "esport" grid.
TL;DR GBF is way less about fun, and way more about grind (why you play then hurr durr - because GBF has waifus and I got booted off FGO for chink phone)
