Starting all over might be a good idea actually. The game's received a whole lot of new content aimed at low level players in the past decade, so there should be plenty of things for you to try out.

Go do supply runs for the Burthorpe soldiers and Nexus. After that, do combat academy for more prayer. Together they should get you to 70+ prayer.

Why the fuck would you kill linza, that's just a waste of time, you only need to ever kill the original 6 to get the best chance at loot, killing any more than 6 of them just adds their sets to the drop pool, and linza and akrisae are worthless.

Did anyone here augment their crystal pickaxe/hatchets?
I'm about to grind 90 - 99 in both mining and woodcutting, and I'm still only 85 invention.

Was it worth the invention xp and cost? Was it expensive?

Augmented Pick that I siphon and augmented hatchet that I just dismantle since its so cheap and I have so much dust.

Tool drain rate is so minuscule it's not even worth mentioning, and it can net you up to a 9% increase in gathering speed I think, and a whole bunch of other stuff,

I thought honed just went up to 3, probably going to have to update my gizmos sometimes, but yes, honed 5 and wise + enlightened, or maybe the one that when it procs, sacrifices items for 2x the xp.

It's either 8 or 14 from what I can remember. They answered the myth of it in one of those long Q&A sessions / myth busting streams, and I believe it does increase the loot chance, or possibly just increase the value of the non-barrows brother related items.

desu might be better for you to do woodcut before mining, and see what happens with pickaxes, unless you're in a rush to max mining

augmented skilling gear is always worth it.

consider getting an augmented crystal rod/rod-o-matic, crystal hammer, and pyro-matic as well.

Noob here, didn't even know I could perk my tools till just now. Trying to get it on my hatchet, but I'm not getting the option to get honed, not even honed 1 on my tool gizmo shells, even though I've tried every combination suggested by rswiki and google. Do you need certain invention levels to unlock certain perks (wiki doesn't say there's a requirement for honed)

Absolutely positive. I tried 5 Sharp components for 22 gizmos, no luck. Not a single honed perk, so I disassembled some stuff to try again and noticed that Honed isn't even listed as a perk for me.

Then you're not using tool gizmos, simple as that. It's literally impossible to be any other reason.
