***Of interest, why some Ayleid concepts are separated by a space. Par Molag, Molag Bal, Lipsand Tarn, Sardavar Leed. As opposed to Malada, Ceyatatar. Is Molag Bal literally "Stone of Fire" or "Firestone"? Is Malada literally "Highfane" or "Fane of High"? Wouldn't High Fane then be "Mala Da"?

Are there any recommended city mods for Oblivion? Better Cities has some great stuff but the sheer amount of pure crap it's filled with makes it super inconsistent and overall awful. Open Cities is alright but I prefer closed walls and compatibility. Everything else I've come across is Russian.

You need to redate your bsa files if you ever want to use texture replacers. If not don't worry about it.

It's full of OC NPCs with awful voiced dialogue and out of place anime waifu hair. The awful NPCs plague the entire mod with their bad dialogue in every city but it's particularly intrusive in Bravil. I'm sure some people can somehow look past it but I prefer to only use mods that have a bit of quality control. BC is quantity over quality.

No idea, m8. I've never really stumbled upon a lot of Ayleid writing, mostly because I never really played Oblivion. The faces scared me when I was 14 and I refuse to go back to it.
If there's a reason to make a distinction between "Molag Bal" and "Molagbal," then I'd guess... Duality? Like, if it's an important enough distinction to put a space in his name, then it must be to draw attention to the two sides of his character. Or something.

I've gotten an itch to re-play Skyrim. Not sure if it will last, and with my work schedule, I'm really just looking for something that's low energy, easy exploration, that kind of thing. I have played before with the base game, those two official expansions, Dawnguard and Dragonborn, or whatever their names were, and the one where you can build your houses.

I was just wondering what sorts of mods were recommended, because I haven't played in a long, long time, and not really up on what's out there anymore.

Getting similar responses, some people said he looks like a default preset, so i tried to make him unique and people would shit on that too, like that one guy with the weird blonde male elf said "he doesn't even know what the fuck i am doing anymore"

Ayleidbro here. I agree from our language standpoint about the title Knight-Paladin. But in the case of elves and elven language, it's probably a distinction/clarification.

Most elven Paladins are likely primarily casters or not knighted, where he is knighted and/or melee oriented.

It could just be a developer oversight, I guess. But with the nature of Elder Scrolls and shit, I try to justify most things.

Also, he's white because he's a snow elf? I'm not entirely sure what you meant by that part.

I don't think he looks bad. If you adjusted the eyebrows and lips like you said, I think he should look good. For the pic, that would be my only suggestion. I don't think he looks like preset, either. Male presets look pretty jacked up. I think he looks unique enough.

Male clothing and armor is suffering. If you find something that looks halfway decent, the textures are awful.

Males are hard to work with due to them having so little to use. Really only one good skin texture for males, one body mod and 90% of modded hairs and overly anime.

Ofcourse this is all my opinion, I liked your husbando but his brows were a little high and his lips seemed odd.

My biggest issue with him was his vanilla clothing.

Yeah i made the lower lips smaller, raised the inner brows just a little, lowered the mouth like 3 ticks and did a few other adjustments. Gotta take some pictures tomorrow.

Thats why i just got rid of the hairs. all the mods i tried were absolutely horrible, so many hipster and fuccboi hairstyles good god.

Like the user above you said, there aren't many male armors. I went through years of posts on dragonporn and a few other sides looking to find something, but most stuff is either "i-have-to-compensate-for-something" BIGHUEG armors or 5billion witcher conversions with super low textures. Currently using "Contractor" armor with a few modular pieces from other mods.

Mashups are probably gonna be your best bet. That or a Witcher port. Find a simple base armor and build off that with modular stuff like bandolier and Aeris armor.
