I genuinely enjoyed P4, but I can't say I ever took it all that seriously. It was pretty much Scooby Doo for me from the start. The game itself was just as addicting for me as P5 though. Trying to max out social links within a deadline, viewing all the conversations, fusing personas, etc. are all just addicting factors for me which keep me playing. That said, I like SMT too so I'm not sure it's just the social links which draw me to the series.
