I know infotainment is complete bullshit, but how come Hyundai of all people are the ones who actually get it right?

I know infotainment is complete bullshit, but how come Hyundai of all people are the ones who actually get it right?

My cousin just bought a Volvo s90 and the infotainment on it is god awful, I've seen lexus, Mercedes, Ford and Honda infotainment and they are also complete garbage.

I get into an elantra and its worlds better, why does everyone else fucking suck at it?

koreans own the smartphone/tablet market so they probably got some neat kickers or some shit to let samsung design it.

idk what the real reason is, but i keep hearing that hyundai is really fuckin bringing it recently

>analog clock
I'm sold.

BMW makes the best system

>iDrive
>best

lmao no

sounds like you haven't used the system in the past 7 years

When it leaves THAT bad of an impression, you know not to return to the source of shit

lol ok

Car makers never update the shit or it's obsolete before it comes out. Laggy pieces of shit every time.

They literally use 5 year old hardware in brand new cars from the start and at the end of the model year people are buying new cars with 9 year old infotainment systems.

Best is just a smartphone on a mount. That way you can customize, control and update it whichever way you want.

I don't even bother with infotainment pieces anymore. Aftermarket head units are superior in every way shape and form. I might be spending a little more, but at least I know it works. My dad has a 2015 charger and the infotainment center won't even read file names. You have to re encode your music through windows media player and do a bunch of other weird shit just to get the id3 tags.

They cater to millennials, and that's the kind of shit their target audience cares about. Never mind the fact that the brakes feel like sponge and the steering feels like a toy

Just get a car with Android Auto. It mirrors your phone and gives it access to the car's media controls

because inbuilt systems are shit. The ones y ou pay for in the dealership are just pure ripoffs. The aftermarket hasn't been standing in a place, if you are rich enough to buy a new car, get some cash together, go to a specialist store, install some alpines/hertz/kenwoods. It will cost you a fraction of the price and it will give you all the gizmos you want and soudn amazingly.

Why do you need a satnav? Just have your phone shout directions at you from a map app if you're lost. The only things I like are the USB, bluetooth, and audio controls on steering wheel.

BMWs CIC iDrive is not laggy even today. The NBT iDrive systems are even faster. You fuckers are wrong.

Ford Sync3 is pretty good actually.

>Millennial are buying $100k sausage barges
no

Because Hyundai knows that most buyers these days are just looking for radio/nav/infotainment, so they focused on that.

even the elantra sport?

>iDrive
no lol

Wtf right outside of Binghamton. I drove that road every day for a while. That Bmw is going the wrong way, rt 17 is far superior to 81 south.

>ecobonox with an econobox engine
>throw in a manual
>"IT'S A SPORTS CAR GUISE"

I wouldn't call it an econobox engine when Hyundai poured around 60 million dollars into that engine and it has an upgraded suspension system with irs over the regulation elantra

the very early 2001 mk1 iDrive was reportedly hard to use because people were not used to big screens on their dashboards.
BMW iDrive is the best car infotainment in the market.

It's because it didn't have shortcuts or hot keys

Then why do you think you can make objective comparisons now you fucking moron? Gtfo please

>assmad bmwfangirl
Shit, you faggots are worse than the gm bitches
