Last thread :

Reminder to report and ignore shitposting.

What happens if you colonize a planet before meeting the empire in whose borders it lies?

I guess it depends how the planet got unified, you'd deffo expect planets that were conquered through brute force to be more xenophobic and as said, that combo would likely be Space National Socialists

>PD is so powerful that it renders an entire weapon type useless

Should PD be nerfed? or explosives buffed? how do we fix this.

>observation post events let you turn a planet into a barren world via nukes within a single day
>still are forced to land troops if you ever want to win wars

FUCK YOU

Trips

who cares when plasma and kinetics are miles ahead

What were Nazis to begin with anyway? I'm aware that they were anti-Jews, anti-Gypsies, anti-faggots and anti-anything that isn't Aryan, but other than that, what were they? They didn't seem very Socialists, since they ended up fighting the communist Russia.

>tfw this happens every time you have a space battle

They get cucked from their borders.

Missiles fire in salvos overwhelming pd
Missiles travel faster giving less time for pd to affect them

you share it if they own a planet in it, or their borders are pushed out

Wow, animes were pretty hardcore back then.

>tfw xenophobic slavers
>tfw found a primitive planet of Very Strong mushrooms

I can see the strip mines already boys

If I want to play tall without Utopia, do I have to colonize only +20 planets?

there's no lack of LoGH references in stellaris but scales of fleets are much much smaller.

That makes me even harder!

Care to give the full name? I really need to watch that show.

it was not there all that often, just from time to time to remind one that fleet battles are not just numbers and pretty light shows

Legend of the Galactic Heroes. How have you not heard of it m8?

legend of galactic heroes

>there's no lack of LoGH references in stellaris
What? Where?

What's with the spider pictures?

>I really need to watch that show.

It’s edgy, gay and pretentious. Don’t bother watching that schlock.

OP's on the spectrum

>it was not there all that often
Hey, for someone who grew up with Sonic, G.I. Joe and Sailor Moon, that stuff is hardcore.

I remember all the outrage when they started broadcasting Kenshiro.

I doubt it was broadcasted in my country. And my parents would always walk in when my brother and I were watching cartoons and anime and say something like "you're gonna have to grow up one day, you know".
When you're a seven years old kid who wants his parents to be proud of him, that destroys your self-esteem.

What the fuck? I didn't even get to fight them

...

>75k

Doubt you woulda done much anyway

plenty of star systems are named after logh battle sites
obviously you could say they are based on real life locations instead but there's a bit too many of them to be just coincidence

The nazis had a small socialist-ish element coalesced around Strasser that was purged hard in the night of long knives.

And the "workers" and "socialist" part of the party's name were just there to lure in disillusioned commies and the poor.

>edgy
Just look at the absurd scale and killcount of every battle
>gay
Juts look at the heroes
>pretentious
Just listed to stuff heroes talk about

How do you make a 4x game that discourages/eliminates doomstacking?

So, trying to do my comfy tall playthrough.

What should I try to colonize? Also, should I try to uplift the Space-Nazis? They are at Rimdur.

Also, when can I terraform Savanna worlds to tropical? Because that 24 slot planet is so tempting

So Nazis were Nationalists-Socialists just in name?

Do like EU4.
Add a mechanism that draines your army if you have too many men around.

Planet size?
Remember to gene mod them with the industrious trait too

>declare war on me
>get BTFO
>pls stop your mean spirited campaigning
why are FE's such cucks?

Add a "supply lines" mechanic that has a maximum capacity. That way, fleets/armies can only support so many ships/soldiers.

You can take it a step further and make it a strategical element, too, by being able to defend and attack supply lines.

Don't uplift them. Liberate them.

Or better yet, invade them, and make them second-rate citizens.

How can I liberate primitives? Also, the cabbages I'm playing as are F.Xenophiles

How do I sort/rearrange listings in the outliner?

>Just look at the absurd scale and killcount of every battle
By what metric is it absurd.
>Juts look at the heroes
Alright you got me.

Still good.

>thinking you can organise the outlier
lmao

Or you could look at SOTS and have really slow FTL times, so your ability to respond is limited to the point where doomstacking is a bad idea.

Yes, user, there is a difference between liquefying a planet and bombarding it enough for it to remain habitable.

it's seriously not possible? STILL?

FTL times are slow enough as it is. That'd make things much worse. Have you even done a late game war between 2 federations? It's an absolute nightmare.

The problem with that supply lines system is that it punishes deep strikes, and reward boring, advancing fronts.

Oh, they're primitive, my bad. Either you wait for them to become spacefaring/extinct, or you uplift them and them liberate them.

>Join new Fed
>Next year we start a war with 200k fallen empire fleet
i want out please

Can't I make them a protectorate and make them love me?

It is yes but it is a good way to sort out the micro issue of commanding several fleets at the same time.

It won't change their ethics.

Aren't F.Egalitarians suckers for Democracy? They shouldn't hate my guts

>play tall
>only have a few actual planets
>spam habitats (at least 40)
>conquer a ringworld FE for resources and spaceports
>the ringworld shows up at the bottom of the habitat list
>while spamming ships I have to scroll 40 habitats to get to the ringworld

Hotkey the ringworld segments.

I thought they were Nazis, so F. Xenophobe and Spiritualistic?

How many empires do you guys put in large galaxies?
And clustered or random?

Max
Random

>How many empires do you guys put in large galaxies?
Max the slider out nigga.
>And clustered or random?
No clustered starts mods master race.

F.Egalitarian + Xenophobe

it's a slow as fuck scroll too

Good lord, I'm at the default which is 12 (max is 25) and I'm already getting annoyed about running into other empires every time I find a good planet

Thats why you use no clustered starts.

You got a no clustered starts mod? Makes it much more bearable.

Would you mind showing me a screenshot of mid or late game with no clustered starts? The symmetric start for everyone looks like it's going too much in the other direction, where everything you meet will be a giant 20 planet empire

Don't forget x0.25 habitable planets

Are battle thrall slaves worth using? How strong are the armies? What about the happiness from Domestic Servitude?

this

What should a Federation made out of Plantoid races be called?

They get the least penalties on production (they lose the mineral and food bonuses though)
I like using them on fully built up conquered planets because I can just build defensive armies from them until the unrest goes away, and then give them to a sector and forget about them

Federation of Cultivation
Systems of Aligned Plants

Wish me luck lads.

You can just start a new game without iron man on, open the console and type observe. Do that a few times to see how the map generator with your settings works.

I dunno if you can answer this question, but it's kind of related to your screenshot; Can AI-empires use custom emblems or are they locked to the vanilla ones? I've never seen them once use an emblem from a mod and I have several packs downloaded...

Is it possible to see other spider-pictures in these threads, OP? You are re-using like 5 pictures and I'm getting tired of them by now.

Oh okay thanks
Wew, 12 empires randomly spread out across a large galaxy is kinda ridiculous
I'm the green guys at the bottom who have a quarter of a galactic arm all to their selves

Elliptical is better imo since there's less dead space due to no arms on the galaxy. It isn't bigger, just looks bigger and less crammed.

Lies and slander.
I have 6 of these.

How do we overhaul planetary ground combat/invasions lads?

Ok so I'm new to Stellaris, barely gotten past getting destroyers in any game yet, mostly due to playing with a friend who has a shit schedule.

I want to play a Hivemind - what traits/etc should I go for? General strategy/tips?

BROADEN YOUR SPODER-COLLECTON!

Which one?

Allow me to always build titanic armies to own the AI even more

>typical jap over the top suffering and carnage.jpg

Japs like that shit, its make their small dicks hard.

If I'm Authoritarian/Xenophile, I can still put species as undesirables and when they come in droves just send them back afterwards right?

>we really love this star that is nowhere near our territory and never has been so it's very bad you are building a dyson sphere around it and we demand you stop

both
go wide or go bust

Doesn't matter, just build mining over all of it
You do use habitats for energy and science, right user?

>tfw you hate seeing your carefully created, RP fitting first ruler die, because then you just get some nobody that you can't immerse yourself with, so you always choose leader lifespan perk and lose points/space for some other, and that also hinders your ability to RP different civilizations
>this shit was even worse with CK, since you can't do anything about your main leader dying(well, I know now you can with satanism, but that also limits RP options)
Does anyone have that too? Sometimes I wish there was no leader portraits, because I wouldn't had my mind set on "I'm roleplaying that specific leader and not some invisible hand of god". In CIV where you have same portraits all the time I would imagine I'm actually some diety being that is having fun with other diety beings, by creating simulated universe where they assume position of immortal civilization leader, and then just have a go to see who wins, people being only a pawns in their game.

DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO OR NEXT THREAD WILL BE ABOUT CAZADORES

But it's actually a good idea, and I've been looking for an excuse to re-read that manga.

Does the unbidden science ship event do anything special? I expected it to be a trap and it would have jump drives on it so they could meme themselves into our galaxy, but it doesn't.

Galaxies just have arms, deal with it third galaxy elliptical nigger.

Nah, don't have voidborne

I think your a bit autistic mate.

>size 22 planet
>it has +20% engineering output modifier
>but also a Betharian Stone
What do I specialize it in?

It's just a science ship you can't upgrade. Pretty lame.

>What were Nazis to begin with anyway?
Anti-communist nationalists, then anti-communist and anti-capitalist when the capitalist powers began funding, arming and aligning with the communists.
>They didn't seem very Socialists
Yeah, massive public works like building the Autobahn and intervening in industries to help fuel rearmament and expansion are totally not socialist. Protip: Marxism isn't the only type of socialism there is, NatSoc came out of Prussian socialism, a very different beast than Marxist and Fabian socialism.

>planets in outliner are always in the order of colonization
Fucking hate this. If it at least grouped same system planets together.
