daily reminder gm has never ever won le mans

>crate engine
remind me why i should care?

>21 grand for 700 horsepower

>Not just spending a fraction of the price on a turbo and supporting mods to make 700 horsepower

>fordfags can't post a more powerful na engine so they sperg out instead

Lol

>104 hp per liter
>$21k

that's really sad

Fairly impressive that it does it NA though. Shame it probably weighs about eleventy shit-tons.

>Fairly impressive that it does it NA though
the engine out of an s2000, a production car, has 120hp per liter naturally aspirated.

>still no rebuttal besides ricer logic hp/liter

>gmcucks literally cannot post a more powerful na production engine than the coyote
lmao

Caring

No amount of power matters if you can't use it for more than 3 laps

And 150 ft lbs - it's pretty taxed already. The lsx is more even and provides way more displacement for building up.

Wow awesome thread OP

not production. sperg more

the f20c can make 700hp with bolt ons
stay mad gmcuck

oh and,
>gm has never ever won f1
lmao

>crate motor ordered directly through GM
>warrantied as well

Let's not forget sheer markup pricing just because it's a crate motor through the manufacture.

Meanwhile, crate 350's, new un-used blocks and parts for $1500, let's see any other manufacture selling ready to go crate engine so affordable even niggers on food stamps can afford it.

>gmshit engines are literally made for poorfag niggers
lmao!

>And 150 ft lbs
and that 150 ft lbs gets applied 9000 times a minute

horsepower is more useful in comparing engine power, hence the name and why the unit was invented

... And that's where the lsx starts.

but the 700hp f20c costs less than half the price of the lshit engine

>gmcucks are literally proud of their (relatively) gutless anemic ass lardo tier v8s
lmao

You can get power from bmep, displacement, and engine speed. Honda maxxed speed and minimized displacement. GM maximized displacement. Both engines can benefit from added bmep, but only chebby can benefit from added engine speed. Point being: the Honda is more limited in potential if you're looking for pure power.

Power is a great metric, but is dogshit for evaluating acceleration. Also, that Honda is already at 9000 rpm - how much more can it rev?

>Power is a great metric, but is dogshit for evaluating acceleration
That's completely wrong, you don't know shit.

Thanks for pointing out why, tradelette.

horsepower is the measure of work over time
torque by itself in no way helps to 'evaluate acceleration'
youre an idiot

Alright, let me explain it so that an idiot can understand it.

There's a ball on the ground and every time you kick it, its speed increases by 1mph.

What's going to accelerate the ball faster, kicking it 2 times per minute or kicking it 10 times per minute?

torque at the engine is meaningless. The point of gears is to multiply torque at the wheels. If you have 10ft/lbs of torque and put it through a 100:1 gear ratio.
you now have 1000lbs of torque at the wheels from literally a lawnmower engine. the only time you need torque at the crank is for
A: your gearing is fucking retarded becasue your engineers still think it's the 50's and 4 speeds are acceptable.
B: your car is a heavy pile of shit because it's easier to hide shitty engineering with a heavier car.
C: you are in a truck and towing something.

In any other instance, more hp and higher revs at the sacrifice of torque is better.

also
>inb4 muh reliability
the f20c makes 125hp/l and can easily last 300,000 miles with normal maintenance. There are guys tracking their cars with 200k on the odo with no problems.

>660 bhp at 7000 rpm in 1964
>modern Aluminium block builds with EFI regularly crack 800 bhp turning up to 9000 rpm
>can comfortably up displacement to 580 cu. in
>54 years later and GM still hasn't figured out overhead cams

Go home, pushrod fag

lmaoing at ICEfags lives. arguing over shit that will be non existent within a few years.

not so fast GM

>650hp
>650lbs

It's about 480 to 520lbs depending on what it is wearing.

>hp/ litre

>800hp
>695 lb-ft
stay mad cuck

...

ayy lmao what the fuck, i guess those tranny rumours are true

I own a RB26, fuck off faggot. You don't just "throw a turbo on" and make that kind of power. Not if you want it to last.

Engine manufacturers still producing engines using pushrods is no better than severely genetically disabled people reproducing.
