That may very well be the worst Veeky Forums movie ever made. Try Back to the Future.

herbie was my childhood hero

>That may very well be the worst Veeky Forums movie ever made.
Not even close. You're bad at /tv/ AND Veeky Forums
Just because there was a DeLorean in it doesn't make it an Veeky Forums movie
Drive or FnF1 are probably the best Veeky Forums movies since half the memes you retards spout are from them
Christine, Mad Max, Gone in 60 Seconds (includes newer one),Gumball rally
The racing scenes in this movie are excellent. I remember reading they put a Porsche motor in a VW for most of them, and even the scenes where they use the trick of playing footage back at double speed, they also drop every other frame so it still looks pretty believable.

RIP that Jaguar E-Type they sacrificed in place of that red Lamborghini
Goddamn beetles are so fucking ugly.
Kowolski would BTFO these guys.

funny how a movie from the 80s makes somebody a nostalgiafag but a movie from the 60s makes somebody a 13yo
Are you my older brother?
Drive
These niggas got it right
Death race 2000 is the greatest car film of all time
American Graffiti
the first 4 fast and furious movies are alright I guess
This for real though.
Not even a fan of burger cars.
really need to watch it again
Mad Max Fury Road was literally a 2 hour car chase.
That doesn't make it a better car movie. The Love Bug was pure car culture.
The 70 GOAT would have won if they ever finished that race.
Gung Ho is more Veeky Forums
They wanted an Veeky Forums movie, not a car movie. Rusty shitboxes and monster trucks driven by a legion of cancer patients through the australian outback in hot pursuit of a truck full of water and titty milk is pretty Veeky Forums.

Why can't we just love them all- Herbie for the nostalgia, mad Max for the action, and everything else in between
You know, I've always wondered this. Who would win in a downhill race? Herbie or Takumi's AE86? Both are at full power with Herbie being in heat after seeing the second gen Beetle and being told he's going to be replaced and Dagumi's AE86 being able to teleport at will, growing wings at will, and Shigeno being fully incapable of coming up with a situation where tofu boy would lose.
What are his initials and are you having fun in PCB?
Herbie is a living being though, but also a car.
He can make fine adjustments to his power and suspension at will.
He's also managed to win races by basically cheating and flying off the mountain to save time.
Herbie would win.
Taxi series.
tokyo drift
^gets it
Taxi Driver.
The late night smoky vibes alone do it for me.
...
Okay, what if Herbie accidentally bumps Takumi, setting off his autistic rage and makes him enter god mode?
I always imagine Herbie as being able to run, while other cars can just walk. The only reason he ever faces any challenge is because of his own emotional issues.

A 7 minute scene (no matter how good) doesn't make a movie.
I'm always surprised it takes this long to call out The Wraith.
This!
Also Rush, but not so much.
Manta, Manta (D 1991)
Thanks! Now I have a list of movies to re-watch for the weekend!

Bjorning.. Its from Norway j think. Top film. I literally ctied at the ending..
Go ahead, call me a faggot - but i dare you to watch it and not cry. Faggots
...
Ansel Elgort is painful to watch.
I thought it was "meh"
What I enjoyed most was the opening, where they raced the Mustang and the Supra, with the reason being that its filmed on a road near my best friends house, and as such its a road I've driven a damned lot
...
Jackie Chan Thunderbolt a best
And even now Jackie Chan owns racing teams.
This, if you only watch the first half it's Veeky Forums in a nutshell.
>movie from 60's
>13 years old
god you're a colossal faggot
it's funny how much detail the script went into on the car vs. anything else
>For the first time, the Car is completely visible. It is a '55 Chevy two-door. It is several shades of primer grey. There are wide M.&H. Racemaster tires. The front end is molded into one piece of fiber glass that tilts forward. When opened the engine is totally revealed. The engine is a 454 cubic-inch high-performance Chevy with aluminum heads. From the outside one can see the roll bar behind the two fiber-glass bucket seats. Inside, the dashboard is bare except for Stewart-Warner gauges, Sun Tach, Water Temp, Oil Press and Amp Meter. There is a 4-speed Transmission, Hurst Linkage and Covico Steering Wheel. The back-seat area is filled with a tool kit, spare parts and two small, tightly rolled sleeping bags.
it doesn't even name the characters or describe them outside of broad strokes
Should have done the LS1 swap bro.
>involves an underage
>driving an 80s shitbox
>one of the main problems is the thing always breaking down
It may be more Veeky Forums than we think
DeLoreans are the shittiest shitboxes of all time, just made cool because of that movie.
It has nothing to do with cars
>TFW They didn't put Initial D Movie
There was this one movie about a guy who tried to make his own car or some shit, around the 30's or 40's time period. Can't remember the name of it but one of the catch phrases or whatever was pull that tiger or some shit like that. Had a weird Asian in it too as a mechanic.
I remember it now, it was Tucker: The man and his Dream.
The Japanese Grand Prix scene was god tier aesthetic
I think that's a beautiful part of car culture, though. Cars don't have to be good for people to form a bond with them.
this is a great film
Are any of you even trying?
Anybody?
Pic didn't upload
It's been mentioned. It's a good movie that primarily involves a car, but I don't think it has as much to do with car culture as a number of other movies in this thread.
You already have your answer.
God I loved this movie
Literally watching rn
Literally god tier friend
I liked Redline
Decent flick
other works that include vehicular homicide
Fahrenheit 451
a clockwork orange

jesus, that must have been literal hell to edit, considering they had to cut up the reels by hand back then.
great soundtrack too
