Experience with Audis

After watching Ronin and the Transporter movies/TV show all of my hooligan dreams involve an AWD Audi. Has anyone owned/drove one? I wanna hear some opinions on D2s vs D3s

Ive had an A3 and RS5, liked both a lot

No idea wtf u mean by D2s, google shows something about headlights

Generations of the A8

Bump because I'm seriously considering a TT.

>Ronin
Same movie, different car for me. I want it. No, I NEED it. '80s-'00s was Peak Beamer IMO.

They're garbage. Their engine sits way far forward, makes their handling really bad. They are needlessly overcomplicated, maintenance is a bitch.

I had a 2006 TT 3.2 V6 very efficient car. Loved it !
Got a 3.4 Cayman S now, it's mutch more fun.
I just regret the irreproachable condition of the interior / exterior of my Audi compare to my porsche of the same year.

My first car, that I recently got, is an Audi A4. I fucked up and bought it on its maintenence cycle so I had to buy a new timing belt/water pump and change it out. That car guzzles gas more than a Japanese pornstar doing bukkake. It's maintenence is super expensive as well. The engine, despite being 1.8L with turbo is very underwhelming, and unless you want to spend all your money on gas, it will take you at least 8 seconds to accelerate up to 40,although from there on the it accelerates easier. Though it is AN AWD and turns very easily and comfortably. Still, the interior is really nice, but honestly if you're looking for some with power and affordability look elsewhere.

I also owned an RS5 for a brief time. Thing was a beast and I loved it a lot. That sound was the best feature of the car.
Here's mine with an R8 of my friend's.

If you want to feel like a Transporter for much cheaper than an S8, just get a black S4.

D2s can be had for stupid cheap these days, but they have their issues.
They're old cars by now, and in the case of the 4.2l V8, the auto transmission will most likely die at 150k miles. There's also the fact that parts aren't exactly cheap (because German flagship luxury car), the entire front of the car needs to come off to change the timing belt, and the engine is ahead of the front axle so they're understeering barges.
Electronics are also likely to glitch out from time to time, but that's usually due to busted relays which literally cost a couple dollars and are piss easy to replace.
D2s especially are incredibly well put together though, you can tel they tried real hard to make the very best car they could.

Wow man. Was it a manual?

No, it wasn't a manual because fuck you

Had pic related for a year, probably older than what you're shopping for but meh.

Mine was the 2.5 V6 diseaseal manual quattro, they are fun so long as you know what you're getting into. It had zero straight line performance but sounded great. Don't expect it to be in any way fun to drive like a BMW or something, it's not that they handle badly exactly because they grip well enough, just that they aren't playful. Despite being AWD they pretty much just drive like a FWD car unless you're driving like a complete lunatic and manage to get lift off oversteer, or you're on loose terrain like gravel or snow. For the most part, an Audi is just a comfy semi-luxury cruiser.

Driving an AWD car in the snow, gravel or on grass is mega fun though, and since they are cheap you can kind of wreck them without it being too big a deal. Great memories of driving mine around the Pennines after midnight in the snow.

what kind of faggot car you? just get a gti.

The RS5 wasn't available in a manual. To be honest, I was planning to replace my Cayman GTS with the new RS5. However the new RS5 is a V6 and in my preference I love V8s, so I don't particularly like the step Audi has taken here even though the new one performs much better than the older one.

>See a gipsy camp
>There are Audi

That + this

equals the definitive Audi experience

Kind of looks like the drivers fault honestly, the corner tightened up while he was still carrying a lot of speed.

the worst part of it is the suspension user. It is very weak and is prone to failing. It is very comfy when new but very complicated, thus most dudebros just mend it together after some bits snap, so what you end up with is a 1999 audi which has a less comfy ride than a 1992 honda civic.

this.
Audis are for benchracers and poor people or nuvoux rich cunts and retards.
I have never seen audi go around a race track.
All I see audis doing is sit around in aprking lot surrounded by chavs blastic music and doing front wheel burnouts.
Its embarassing, driving an audi is like admitting you watch my little pony or are a furry.

I like the lines of the TT. I considered a few options, but AWD and the rear shelf makes a big difference if it's going to be my year round car. Ideally Id like to throw the pup (or a friend in a pinch) in the back.

My wife and I have no problem with a hauler and a coupe. One's for fun, the other is for kids.

I thought about the A5, but at that size for the money you can get a bmw 4 series, Merc c350, or even a Q60. The S5 seems to be overpriced. Closer to the lexus rc350

>but AWD and the rear shelf
It's not AWD, it's a shitty on-demand system.
