"""German Engineering"""

What is the appeal? It seems "German engineering" is all about maximizing HP/L and cheating EPA mileage tests by putting big turbos on small engines and then shoving 30 lbs of boost into them. If I care about HP/L I can just bolt some turbos onto a Modular 4V and get superior meme statistics with much better reliability. Is German engineering just to impress and make money off of normies/benchracers/richfags who know nothing about cars?

Same appeal as letting ahmed creampie your wifw and daughters.

none of the above applies to the M2, Cayman S or any 911
kys fag
sour grapes etc.

Holy shit that exhaust. Even a v6 accord has a better fake dual exhaust system.

M2 has fake engine noise and an on-off throttle. Can't speak for the steering though no modern BMW I've driven has impressed me.

Porsche is the only good German manufacturer.

Pretty sure that's an AMG clone, not an actual AMG.

We've already established that's a fake

Doesn't change the fact that most modern Mercedes and Audi's have fake exhausts

More like fake tips at best, Honda can't even do those anymore

They're there to protect the bumper from heat

>fake engine noise
Why do they do this? Help why do SO FUCKING MANY car makers do this?

>went to a dealership
>test drove a 335i
>dealer says stupid shit like "wow listen to that engine roar"
>he was baffled when I called it fake engine noises through the speakers

>people want quiet cars
>manufacturers make quiet cars
>people whine that they can't hear the engine
>manufacturers pipe in fake engine noises

Same shit with CVTs with fake shift points and the Tesla Model S with a creep mode to fake a torque convertor. People are used to a certain experience and find anything different uncomfortable

That's a load of horseshit and you know it

>what's this, the new Audi """"sports"""" crossover?

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA-

*breathe*

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

...

...

...

>implying Germans are the only ones that do this

But is that fake or real carbon fiber surrounding it?

Most people who buy a German badged car, never pop the hood nor would they know what they were looking at if they did. Their understanding starts and stops at that stupid badge on the front.

M2 fags are the worse

In america everything is fake

>"""German Engineering"""

ITT: Americans who think that exhaust pipe aesthetics are "engineering"
No wonder American cars are so shit.

there's no way you can blame this on americans kraut

The Germans aren't the only ones who do this

the type R has retarded as fuck styling with fake vents, 3 exhaust tips, and two rear spoilers

>reading comprehension

The spoilers on the Type R are actually functional and the 3 exhaust tips cut out droning, Ferrari does the same thing

>german engineering
>posts car with PSA engine

>fake engine noise
what?

I doubt the spoilers are functional, the top one is bendable as fuck. And the exhaust isn't loud enough to cause drone.

Everything aero on the car is functional

>the exhaust isn't loud enough to cause drone
That's not how it works. Drone is caused by our entire exhaust resonating at a certain rpm figure, usually at cruising speeds. That's why it goes away at higher rpms

In any case, it looks like ass

why fucking bother omg

Nice opinion, doesn't change the fact that it's functional

>bespoke tools
>cant do anything outside of specialized shop
>can't do anything without the car recording it

they could've made it functional without making it look like shit

Try doing it yourself without resorting to resonators and heavy as fuck and restrictive mufflers

>I doubt the spoilers are functional
GOOGLE it nigga. Don't just make assumptions

Please please tell me that picture is fake. There is no way that's a real thing on a production AMG car.

Please.

It's fake. Come poorfag trying to dress up him C250 as a C63

>haha oh wow.tiff.png.ppt
Why yuros, why.

>Flexible aero is not functional

Fucking summer, even the FIA banned it since it reduces drag

Pretty much every single new BMW sounds like garbage, so they just put fake engine noise through the speakers. The only car to do this right is the Clio RS since it lets you switch the engine noise from economy car/5cyl rally car/V12 supercar/V8 muscle/etc.

There he is again, the poorfag American who is so jelly about people who can buy nice german cars that he starts this thread with this fake picture over and over again. Stay mad in your shity inferior American car while german cars pull girls all day.

>pulling girls

More like shooting them lel

kek, they worry more about how it looks than how it runs
