I just financed a 1993 Ford Escort with 181,980 miles. I don't know anything about cars, but I financed it for 7k. My mom told me that this was a bad idea because it's worth nowhere what I paid for it. I didn't know that there is a website to tell you the value of cars.

Is there any way I can get out of my loan?

Well first off your mom is right. I'd expect to pay around 2000 for a clean Escort of that style with those miles and no other major problems. 1000 to 2000 is what I would say is a good to reasonable price for that car. The only one that MIGHT bring 7K is a manual GT with almost no miles in pristine condition and even that seems high.

Anyhow. No not really unless you can somehow sell it for what you paid. The problem is not the loan but the purchase price. It's too late now. The seller has their (and by extension the banks) money. Now the bank has their hand out to you looking for that money back per terms.

So the best realistic thing to do in your case is to somehow magically sell the car for close to what you paid and get one cheaper or something.

Sell it for cheap and just take your lumps and learn from it. You lose 5000 for sucking. Sucks to suck.
Or
Keep it, sure you paid 7K but you're ready in the rabbit hole, might as well use the car.

But no you're not getting out of the loan. See it as an opportunity to build credit. One mistake like this won't fuck you up for life, but not knowing how to recover and/or making the same mistake again and again is why people stay poor.
