I don't really know how she's supposed to fight in the first place. She's got pretty crappy stats and doesn't seem to carry any particular weapons on her, and I don't think Phantom Maiden is very dynamic as a melee weapon. It's described as floating around and dripping blood on her, but as a tool for fighting or assassination it doesn't appear to be very practical. Maybe she'd swing her chains around or beat people over the head with her staff? But again, her stats suggest that she'd be really fucking bad at it. And her Presence Concealment is so low that the only people who are worse at it are the people who don't have the skill at all.

I'm really not sure what she's supposed to be good at.

He never really lost a fight in the first war, but he actually didn't dominate so much a lot of the time either. In the second war he got his ass destroyed by Heracles, and got pretty roughly manhandled by Gil and Cu for a lot of the respective fights against them even though he won against them in the end.

He's not above getting roughed up a bit every now and then. Or you could say that he's not so great that his opponents don't also get to show off a bit.

He's fucked against Ozzy because of his temple. I was re-reading Fragments, Divinity has nothing to do with the NP lock. You can't use an NP unless that NP was originally a god's, or something. I have no fucking clue how Proto Gil is going to fight him. Unless he works differently from our regular gil.

While I'm sure he has some a god has wielded in his vault, his gate wasn't from a god, so he couldn't get his NP out.

The NP lock also isn't a universal NP lock. All it does is restrict you from using the true name of the NP, but most NPs are still usable albeit at reduced power without the true name. Some NPs don't even require a true name to be spoken to be fully active (Armor of Fafnir, KoO)
