No, no, it's 3-5-4. 3* skill gives you enough inmunity time to go safely for the 5th skill, which goes for enough guard break/damage stun for then to use 4th skill and kill asap.

Got Starlight and Pratt. I kind of regret getting Pratt because without the mask it's not even Star-lord anymore, but I only ever used him for his leadership anyways and an extra 5% is not nothing.

Throwing a gear that also gives RR on him may not be a bad idea though to take better advantage of the random heal and 6*, but his damage output is so low you'll need a focus on DPS.

Very excited to build him.

Also the ANAD look is far FAR cooler and I'm mad that this new one is so much better for him.

Also here's hoping that if they give us a Hydra Sharog uni for secret wars it changes her typing.

What Obelisk for Starog?

BIRD MAN: A SUPER IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS... jk just a couple of hours of fucking around

My build:

>all skills lvl 6
>PoAH all 6* ISO-8
>37% def pen (50% when 4 skill is used)
>69% lightning dmg (89% when 4 skill is used)
>6* Obelisk - GBI / 35.8% lightning dmg / 120% dmg proc
>3* Uru in every slot (4 out of 5 amplified) - main focus on Phys Atk and HP

WB:
Used WM (L) / IM / Whiplash. This is pretty much the only team for him since he has fuck all for team bonuses. WM as lead due to Phys Atk boosting leadership.
Had no trouble clearing Ebony Maw, 1 minute clear time.

SL:
>Floor 2 Combat Rumble
Tried to solo this with him - no fucking chance. Thought he may have had potential for Rumbles with his binding skills but nope. Don't even try it.

Cleared this with ease. Very early floor though.

Very similar experience to floor 3.

EZ.

No chance. The horde of Frost Giants is just way too overwhelming for him. His 3 skill only targeting one enemy makes it hard for him to reach Loki when there's too enemies around, and even if you did manage to reach Loki, you'd get rekt by all the enemies surrounding you.

EZ.

>Floor 15 Rocket Boss
EZ.

EZ if you can keep them together. Becomes a bitch when they're too far apart.

>Floor 18 Fire Relay
Lost count of how many attempts this took. Becomes a fucking nightmare when the 2 enemies are too far apart or one of them dodges the bind, or when you hit one with the 3 skill iframe and then the other one runs away. Didn't manage to exit in time so I couldn't take him further.

Conclusion: Whiplash is nothing special, especially when compared to other Blasts. All his skills deal lightning dmg so it's easy to crank up his DPS. His T1 passive is incredibly niche and most likely will never be taken advantage of. Most of his skills have long animations which leave him extremely vulnerable.

I don't think a heal ISO set will be of much use for him since his problem is so deep-rooted in his long animations and their lack of iframes, with him being so unequipped to handle large mobs as he gets seriously overwhelmed by more than 2 enemies.

His current state reminds me of Kid Kaiju prior to the rework. If his 4 skill self-buff granted him a hit shield or immunity then he might play a lot better.

Only worth it if you have no one else to work on.

Loving them so far

So Rocket's uni turns him into a DPS monster, his 6* does crazy amounts of damage. His survival is still pretty bad, but I'm remedying it with a 5sec invincibility gear

Why, oh why couldn't they have put out a good fucking update? Like I wasn't even hyped for it and I'm generally disappointed. I'm not gonna say it's bad, but it could've been so much better. Star-Lord really should've gotten something more than a Uni that buffed his leadership.

The uni is a nice stat buff and makes him dodge viable though.
