So I have mods installed but they do nothing. I have bigger galaxies and multiple crisis installed and enabled in the client. I don't get options to generate bigger galaxies and when I try to spawn a second crisis with the console I get the same problems with vanilla Stellaris. Any ideas?

I thought sticking /civ4xg/ on it was a good idea so I had a closer look and while looking at the planet I noticed the background was off, then I noticed it has a low opacity spider.

Also I may or may not be using a pirated version of Stellaris.

I finally won a battle in Aurora 4x vs a non-spoiler. Here I am putting the Coup-de-Grace in the final FAC that attacked (Well followed) me.

You don't give a fuck about a 10% minmax on a single planer's resources when without sectors you wouldn't even have that planet at all.

How high above the Core System cap do you go before the penalties really start hurting you?

I mean early to mid-game.

I often spend most of the early game 2-3 above the cap. It's that uncomfortable spot where you need to expand but don't have the resources to lay the blueprint down for the sector yet.

I never take the ascension for core worlds though, it's always a huge waste later on.

You allowed an Early Space Age primitive civ to exist in your borders? Immediately invade them if it doesn't conflict with your ethos. If you haven't contacted any other civs, they won't get butthurt about it, and the stellar culture shock time is way lower than if you had invaded any other stage. You might even luck out and get species than can colonize planet types that aren't your main species'.

I'd say only bother if you have adaptive traits or have habitable worlds set excessively high.

Afterburners aren't worth it. Shield Capicators generally won't be on a corvette because they'll drive the price up and the ship probably won't last long enough once it starts taking hits for the regen to matter.

It's more important then of course. I always set it at .75.

It can happen naturally.

Homeworlds a ringworld segment though.

Afterburners. You should get rid of the shields period on them after cruisers become commonplace.
I'd even argue you should stop using them at all once you have a strong enough economy to support a destroyer fodder force. Torpedo corvettes are a meme.

Late game shields start to add a fair bit to construction costs, depending on your viewpoint they may not be worth the cost

Destroyers with 2 flak 2 empty weapons all shields with afterburners and best computers (sentient pref). Big hit chance, big tracking, big speed, big hp, allows cruisers to actually do their job, which is damage.

Corvettes will get one shot by anything anyway.
Might as well get them in range as fast as possible.

It's fallen empires expanded for extra homeworld types, pretty sure, but the spawn is random.

Actually if it's one shotting those you might as well mass corvettes against it. Even if it has insane tracking it can only fire so quickly.

Replace corvettes with destroyers. Equip them with torpedoes. Make planets spawn corvettes and torpedo ships for self-defence.

Not drones, but you can have fighters....

Such as my fighters who got blasted, so now I am using my Light cruiser with it better sensors and longbow missiles to weaken the enemy. Have two more light cruisers on the way to join up as I my designs do not have large magazines.

1, sort of. Doesn't have the faction quests, but the design and narrative is there to some degree.

2, yes. It's all there, and more. It's really good on that front.
