i wonder how heavy were the original devola and popola. their weights aren't mentioned, but if they were as heavy as automata's, their android forms would be compromised within the time it took for it to get to nier.
people would ask questions quickly if they noticed those two frail girls (esp. the overly friendly devola) are heavier than some of the biggest dudes around.
so far the only android that weighs the regular human weight is accord.

Grants the owner of the dead body a full health recovery and some perks, similar to the "retrieve" option, but for them instead of you (although you can do both anyway).

3400 was only the destruction of the Project Gestalt technology. The Replicants and Gestalts themselves only slowly died off until 4200.
The remaining 800 years was presumably spent trying to revive humanity from remaining records/data before the ayys interrupted.

Current Nier: Automata Fan Art Lewd .zips, since the Twitter account @2b_butt set up to send them to Taro on a weekly basis has been suspended for now:
As usual, there is one .zip that just has the entire collection of around 2800 files, and another one with just what's been added since last week to copy over if you already have the stuff up until now.
Hope those Twitter shit asses unlock the account soon.
Ryder James
I played the whole game expecting it to be revealed that the machines lied about being alien tech and that they were actually even more degenerate Emil copies, but it never happened.
Now I hear there is DLC. Does it go to those locked elevators or expand the map? I was hoping all those blank areas on the fully unlocked map would be part C areas but that never happened either.
Easton Sanders
The only real problem with it was the occasional fps drops and the never ending sex jokes. The gameplay is acceptable and just like the first Drakengard, the only two character's you'll really care for by the ending is Zero and Mikhail.
Robert Richardson
The sex jokes are bad? A shame I was actually curious about them
Elijah Ortiz
Does it have cosplay videos?
Lincoln Howard
It depends what your tolerance for crude jokes is. The humor was the best part about DOD3 imo.
Mason Smith
Yes.

I wish the Commander folder got more elaborate. There's criminally little art for her, not even close to enough to warrant subfolders.
Tyler Barnes
A2 and Commander didn't have folders in my last download.
Nicholas Price
Fuck there's so many smiles I wish I could protect, I'm happy that 2B and 9S can have a future together but I really wish I could have done something for the Devolas and Popolas all around the world. I also hope 9S calms down a little so A2 can hang out with them when they are not brain fucking

Forest Kingdom machines, the core crying "help me, help me" that he nukes after going pure edge mode. There are multiple times throughout the game where the protags kill machines just trying to protect their own turf.

Does anyone know when doing the final Emil Super-Boss fight. What he means when he says "at the end - I did a lot of bad things to you 2B". When he is dying - does he mean the fight when he catches them stealing?
Jordan Murphy
Weren't they trespassing?
Dylan Richardson
Beauvoir is awesome. She's like a 3D bullet hell obstacle course. The only boss that gave me the same feel was Hegel and to a lesser extent, Eve.
Good to see another bracers/spear fan. Aerial combos galore. >Forest King grave's guardian if that counts I don't see why it wouldn't count. >Climbing the Tower That chapter was hype as fuck. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Such an epic finale to the game.
Hunter Jenkins
Translation is a bit off. He says "I've caused you a lot of trouble," in the original text, referring to how you ended up having to finish what he was meant to do.
Christopher Ramirez
Not that I'm aware off. Smelled like simple conquest to me.
Christopher Hernandez
>Forest Kingdom machines, the core crying "help me, help me" that he nukes after going pure edge mode.
>Expecting Nine "Nuclear" S to spare the machines that murdered his 2B.
At that point in the story I was so 50/50 on the machines ''imitating'' emotion I understood it.
Isaiah Allen
So yeah, he's a murderer. He killed A2 as well, regardless of ending. He didn't deserve to be brought back.
Evan Anderson
Is there such h thing as being good at this game
if so how do I get it
t. noob getting slaughtered on hard
William Sanchez
>So yeah, hes a murderer.
Who wasn't a murdered in that world user?
2B killed 9S for who knows how long, as well as machines. A2 has butchered machines as well as Yorha Androids Anemone has killed machines. Even Devo and Popo at the end.
Its a war - everyone is a murderer.
>On Hard Chips are your friend. Weapon+ Dmg, Overdrive, HP/Melee Damage reduc.
And largely spamming dodge at the right time. The heal-when-doing-damage chip (Deadly Heal I think) is also very good.
But its mostly all about dodging. A lot.
Expect to get some very bullshit deaths.
You can dodge in the air, you can dodge mid-attack.
DODGE.

>he's a murderer Everyone and their mom is a murderer, even Pascal.

I'm afraid I didn't save it, I saw it maybe 4 days ago on /dsg/? It involved the Clandestine Robes and the crown you get from the DLC, I'm fairly certain. I'll try to find it.

Devola and Popola only killed at the end, in self defense. The machines were the aggressors there. The rest of them killed innocent machines though, yes. Well, maybe Anemone didn't. I don't know if it ever says for sure. The operators didn't either.
Landon Williams
oh I thought it was actual character sliders
Xavier Martin
Is the entire S series super-intelligent, or is it just 9S? Because we see a few others in the game and they don't have assigned E units that we know of. So was he the only one that was constantly figuring out shit he wasn't supposed to? If so, why? What makes him special?
Jason Davis
>Devola and Popola only killed at the end, in self defense No they jumped in to kill Machines in order to protect 9S. They are according to you as guilty as 9S since they enabled his quest for revenge.
Benjamin Carter
'Cause he's the latest one in the S series? Maybe it's because he's based on N9 too but I'm not sure about that
William Long
They were protecting 9S. The machines were the aggressors so the use of force was justified. 9S was in many cases the aggressor and killed machines that were helpless. Dev and Pop never did.
Jayden Gutierrez
>Machines were the aggressors from protecting their "Matrix" getting destroyed by Hackerman Have you considered working for a circus, you can jump through these mental loops like a professional
James Thomas
I thought every unit of the same series was the same in terms of ability? Just their personalities differ.
Hunter Brooks
They could have arrested and detained him. Machines were using excessive force so the dynamic duo helped him out.
Angel Murphy
>Devola and Popola only killed at the end, in self defense. The machines were the aggressors there. The rest of them killed innocent machines though, yes. Well, maybe Anemone didn't. I don't know if it ever says for sure. The operators didn't either. You could argue that the Operators fed vital info + mission data to androids that allowed them to kill machines. They are still part of the military.
So, who is really 'innocent'? Aren't the machines the Aggressors for being made to invade Earth in the first place? :^)
Combos differ upon the weapons you use - try and mix them up. Some weapons mold well into others.
There is always a full light combo (left click-left click-left click on PC for example)
There is always a full heavy combo,
Charge combos, air combos,
And (for small sword/large sword) a nice combo is left-left-left-right-right (depending on how long the sword allows, look at its details and it will show the combo number as '4' or '7'.)
Jack Brooks
>They could have arrested and detained him There was no one left that could arrest them since you killed all gold machines (Gestapo of the Machine Network)
Colton Barnes
I love the bracers because of their speed and how long the combos are. Even on ground their great fun to fuck around with, especially with shockwave. Shockwave makes everything better. And yeah that's how I felt about the Tower too. Thr plot reveals, the bosses, the music, the art direction, the Nier library nostalgia trip, the perspective switching, all of it was fantastic. Even without ending E the game gmhad already solidified itself as one of my all-time favorites based on the strength of that area alone. Of course, pretty much everything before that was excellent as well.
Fuck now I want to replay it.
Ayden Smith
There's only one blindfold mask in DS3 that fits him and it's not black, unfortunately. But in terms of build yeah, you can do him. Rapport + frayed blade.
Cameron Reed
Actually the humans were the aggressors for taking the land from the animals. Farmer machine was the true hero.

NieR:Automata was disappointing and not nearly as good as the original. Maybe that isn't fair, it's not really the same kind of game after all.
Lincoln Murphy
Hey, guys!
An user requested some lewd fic with 2B and 9S on another board, and I thought I'll share the results here as well.
The gameplay in Automata was better, but that's about it. Everything else felt like a downgrade.
Jack Perry
>and not nearly as good as the original That's a rather poor metric. How so user? Story? Gameplay? Aesthetic? Design?
I sure hope you're not comparing the premise and message of each games story considering they are out to achieve different things. But you could argue their portrayal/methods of telling it.
Leo Lewis
I couldn't disagree more. About the only thing the original did better were the main characters. Automata's are good, but they don't develop as much and aren't quite as memorable. The stories for both are about equal overall. They both try something different (Nier tells a simpler and more personal tale that excels in emotional moments, while Automata is a broader story chronicling warring factions and is more thought provoking) and they both do a great job pulling off what they are attempting. OSTs are also equal. But pretty much every other area Automata beats out the original. Combat, customization, length, variety, pacing, bosses, level design, and art design are all an improvement. Automata is the better game hands-down.
Justin Brown
It feels like 2 and 9 always were kinda childishly tsun to each other like younger brother and older sister. Both their prototypes and interactions between A2 and 9S show this. After ending E they will still be tsun to each other but i think 9S will learn to appreciate her as A2 already cares for him.
But the interesting thing is how 2B ended up being so different thanks to staying close to 9S and falling for him.
Michael Rivera
Speaking about Hegel, I found the fact that while the Emil Superboss being a reskin was lazy as shit, I actually did think it was a little bit clever when you consider the fact the machines were copying Emil, so it'd make sense that Hegel, who was likely based off of those Emils, fought just like them.
Adrian Roberts
>About the only thing the original did better were the main characters. And it is for this reason why the narrative and how it's presented falls flat in some places. Automata is just as much about it's main cast as Nier was, otherwise what purpose would Ending E have? The game handed the main cast a shitty deal, but if you don't care about the characters why go through with Ending E to "try" and deny that shitty deal? If you weren't suppose to connect with the main characters of Automata like you could in Nier, what reason would you have to go through Ending E? In Ending D of Nier, the sacrifice was more fulfilling because you actually cared about the character you were making the sacrifice for. Nier treated it's main cast a lot better. It made them likable people. Automata doesn't do this. Some sidequests made me outright hate the main cast after knowing everything about them. You admitted Automata has weaker characters, I'd say they were outright poor with the game giving you no real reason to invest in them. So the game's story fell flat for me. It had neat concepts, but didn't really capitalize on any of them. It kinda just threw them at you to think about while by in large still hamming up the relationship between 2B and 9S, and I wasn't invested so I didn't care. A2 was less of a real character and more of a YorHa stage play cameo since there is so little of her and about her in-game.
So I'll give Automata the pass on gameplay, but not on narrative. Nier is the better game for me when it comes to that.
Lucas Watson
>A2 (coolly after 9S’ scream): This is the fourth time I heard this scream. Better pray there isn’t a next time.
