Microfiber cloths are the worst baby boomer trend. They're a terry cloth with downs sytndrome. They have fuckall absorbancy, they're shit for getting anything off other than wax buffing, they leave just as much lint as an old sock with a hole in the heel, they bunch up on glass when folded into quarters, they streak 9 times more than paper towels on glass, they're expensive compared to terry cloth,

Microfiber cloths are fucking bullshit!

I disagree.

FUCK YOU

those are bullshit yeah get the waffle ones

Microfiber is great but someone inevitably will put them in the dryer and ruin them.

>he bought cheap dollar store microfiber with no polyamide
>he didn't buy the good stuf
Forfeit, my nigga

yo wtf? i thought you were supposed to put them in the washer (to wash the compounds and shit off) and then throw them in the dryer.

not baiting either i legit think this

Air dry them. the fibers get ruined in the dryer somehow and become rough

Show us on a doll where the microfiber towel touched you, OP

ok got it thank you

>air dry
I don't have an air dryer wtf do i do

i won't!!!

>buy one of these for $7 on amazon
>never think about other cloths again

shit is sorcery

SHOW US!

Hang them up to dry dude

bad microfiber is a shit
good microfiber and APC, however, is a gift from god himself and is supreme at cleaning anything from bird shit to water spots to glass streaks and anything in between
t. work at a car wash

What are some brands you'd recommend user? I was gonna pickup some microfiber soon

desu i don't know the brand my company gets other than that it's from a wholesale central-TX company

centexdetailsupply.com

Ill check it out, thanks

I use the watersprite, I like that tubular container though

I'll have to check this out too.

I agree with op, I've had so much shitty luck with microfiber towels.

The best ones I have are the ones that come with the Meguires Ultimate Wax, I bought a few expensive Simoniz ones before thinking they'd be good, but they are fucking garbage. Lint everywhere and tags you can't remove without cutting and leaving some behind, or ripping the cloth. At least the Meguires ones were smart and even said to remove the tag first.

I just can't find where to buy them alone locally.

Don't run them in the washer unless you want to get wax residue on your next load. Just hand wash them.

I wash and dry mine and they're fine. OP is just a faggot who bought cheap ones.
Do the load with just the microfibers and use a little corner of a dryer sheet in the dryer on gentle and they come out just fine and static free.

I only do this 4-5 times before I retire them though

Also for anyone with a costco membership- the ones they sell in bulk there are actually really good

they are fine if you get quality ones

eventually they get dirty enough / worn enough that you should throw them away and get new.

all of them are shit. There's no such thing as "Quailty"

>he doesn't use them once and throw them away or use it as a rag
Come on now

This right here. Nothing beats waffle weaves.

>costco membership
>paying to shop in a grocery store
You Americans really do some weird shit.

You get better prices and larger quantities, sorry for your loss, Mikhail

>You get better prices and larger quantities
But you literally pay for a membership to get those prices. This is like Jerry Seinfeld tier logic.

I think you underestimate what exactly is sold there and the prices, just depends on how much you shop for groceries. Very good sales all the time!

this
also $5 roasted chickens
and cheap baps for $2
that's like 6 sandwich meals
plus a dank ckn soup
>want to impress grills?
>put some pesto on that shit

Got this badass pressure washer for 199 on sale, it's been very good
>m.costco.com/PowerStroke-3100-PSI-Pressure-Washer-with-Subaru-Electric-Start-Engine.product.100338562.html

was looking at those, nice to know they aren't bad
>even if it was, nbd
>such great return policies

has anyone else gotten addicted to the roasted garlic parmesan bread?

>2017
>not using a sheepskin chamois to dry your car

>2017
>not using a genuine sheep wool wash mitt to clean your car

Nature always beats some gooks in a laboratory with their shitty meme fabrics.

I was ITT too, wish we got a full picture of that rice rocket.
>has anyone else gotten addicted to the roasted garlic parmesan bread?
Nah, for me it's the Kirkland coconut water tastes same as expensive "vita-coco". So good after a hot day or hangover, rehydrates you very well

>dat story
>dat grill
>dat spoiler
pretty much perfect

I've always loved their Kirkland cranberry cocktail, perfect mix for Kirkland vodka
>get some limes from produce and watch the cape cods flow
I like the big odwalla superfoods they carry for recovery myself

>tfw Canadian
>tfw no cheap Costco booze to wet my whistle
>tfw have to shop at a government-owned liquor cartel that charges 2-3x more than anywhere in the U.S.
>tfw people say Costco actually has good wine too

I just want to develop a drinking habit without going broke. It's so absurd that I need to pay this much to destroy my body.

Have not tried the costco alcohol but I hear it's really good, especially the "crown royale" they sell. Gonna give em a try

My watersprite works perfectly, what advantage does sheepskin offer over it?

The knowledge that something died just so you could dry water off your car.

It's why I like leather interiors - it affirms my superiority over the beasts.

>can't walk into a costco
>and get all the ingredients I listed
>for less than $25-30
wow this sounds like oregon

also not to rub it in
but it's super good for decent priced tasty wine

if you're talking about the 6 yrs aged canadian whiskey it's excellent

>be Canadian
>pay $30 for a bottle of shitty domestic whiskey
>tastes like gasoline filtered through a dirty diaper
>be grateful for the privilege of consuming such rancid swill for an exorbitant price
>as it is the only medicine which drowns out the sorrow of living in a socialist hellhole
>excuse me now I must get drunk before my mandatory government-controlled gender reassignment surgery and privilege removal

OK. Keep detailing your car with cotton bath towels and paper towels I guess

can't u just move to vancouver and smuggle alcohol (and cigarettes) to canadian patriots from based washington state?
>Costco headquarters
>totally foolproof
and then u can afford decent microfiber cloths to detail ur car or whatever
>captcha: select the bus

Stop buying the cheapass Walmart brand towels, the ones that have a soft side and a coarser side are god-tier.

I always wash my car with paper towels, they're free. Just go to a coffee shop or college bathroom with a backpack on, crank open the dispenser with some pliers, and take the giant roll out. There must be a mile of paper towel on those rolls.

Always wash and dry in a circular motion too, it helps wick away the water more evenly to prevent spotting.

Hard water is the best, as the mineral content act like microscopic scrubbers to help remove dirty and grime.

I could but I would just as soon move to the U.S. permanently. Hopefully Papa Trump will allow me to live in the Fatherland.

>then throw them in the dryer.
Dryers have a nearly no heat tumble dry. Polyamide is sensitive to heat, so you can't use much heat on them. From testing, the "lingerie" or "panty" setting works on my microfiber towels I buy from costco and sam's club. They come out very fluffy and absorbent. They clean well and don't seem to have grit on them.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I do not mix microfibers from different tasks. They can be cross contaminated by MF you used for gritty purposes. Wash them separately. Dry them separately. Remember that microfiber can have sharp gritty particles get tangled into the polymer threads. Those particles are then there "forever" or until those threads break and release the particle.

>What are some brands you'd recommend user?
Good and cheap ones are at the warehouse shopping clubs. Sam's Club as those packs of 36 for $14.

>also $5 roasted chickens
Costco actually loses about $88M (eighty eight million usa dollars 2016) per year on those chickens. They are a loss leader to get people to come visit the warehouse. While you can resist temptation, many people once they enter the warehouse, will buy lots of other stuff.

Not to mention every deli department is in the back of the store, so it forces members to go all the way to the back and then make their way upfront. More opportunity sales.

So you do a cost-benefit analysis. How much would I save vs how much does the membership cost?

>what is pyle
>what is thickness
>what is waffle weave

Forgot to crop.

>welp

>americans
I really wish i could show you the sales figures for the Asian market stores.
That shit is crazy.

Detailer here, a fresh and dry microfiber is great for buffing stuff off or getting streaks off the paint and windows after you've already cleaned but using them for washing the car? They are fuckin terrible just like OP says. I cannot believe that so many youtube tutorials suggest to use them for everything.

You can't even wash them without somehow fucking them up too. I guess you can air dry, but at my place we literally just throw them away and use brand new ones as soon as the old ones need to be washed cause it's just not worth the time and effort. Worst meme in the auto detailing world.

So much bullshit in one post

There's of course different towels you can get that are better but a cheap terry towel is always better than a cheap microfiber. We just get the cheapo ones in huge bundles and just use them like disposables like I mentioned. Im not sure how economic that is cause I don't own the place so it's not my problem.

Sure thing

Those stores in South Korea do like $1 million+ a day. Shit is crazy.

The store I'm at only hits the million mark around Christmas, and it's a fairly busy warehouse.
I can't imagine the absolute insanity there is over there on a daily basis for them to do that shit regularly.

I work at 644 in AZ. We usually are top in the state, but the Scottsdale store does ridiculous sales during the holidays. Rich dudes will come down and buy 4 barrels of the Jack Daniels. Giving them like a $12k in the span of 5 minutes. Their productivity is insane.

Ah, I'm at 388 in IL.
We're usually somewhere near the top in the mw region. Don't really know why, I have a better experience shopping at other warehouses.
I've seen people buy thousands worth of liquor and wine, it's pretty nuts. I wish I could spend that much on booze and not give a fuck.

The subscription fee is really there to keep the lower class (Walmart) shoppers out.

I fell for the microfiber meme when I got my first car, and I can confirm everything OPs post
