What jobs do Veeky Forums do? Are they Veeky Forums related?

Pic related. I have to deliver food but get to see some nice views

Where in Scotland are you?

I repair rectums

Bet you get a lot of anally destroyed gm fangirls :^)

I'm sorry to say I sadly deliver in a city in the Midlands. The picture was taken from a driver group I'm in who delivers in better views than I can show.

That's nice. Do you enjoy that?

>That's nice. Do you enjoy that?
I hate my life. There is nobody in the 'gross' part of medicine that enjoys their jobs.

Trader.
Not everyone's thing, especially if you don't like staring at numbers.

Detail cars making about $20-25/hr. It's an ok job but everything has to be perfect and it's hot as fuck outside

Do the numbers ever stare back?

I'm a draftsman and I crate technical drawings and production orders for the worktools of the car's worst enemy - rail electrification masts and electrical substation frames.

farmer
are tractors, combines and other machinery Veeky Forums related?

I work at a cemetary, it's a pretty good job.

>ANOTHER MIDLANDSFAG
Im not alone on here anymore

How do you like it? I am thinking about getting into this.

You best your harvest they are.

Car salesman at a used place in an east midlands city.

Peterborough

making $20/hr filling holes and shooting loads on a graveyard shift.

not Veeky Forums related but my first real job was Veeky Forums related and i hated it so i don't mind what i'm doing now, being antisocial as fuck helps deal with working nights.

It's not insanely complicated work if you have a basic understanding for engineering matters and are good with numbers. Working with digital models can be fun. Nobody stands at a drawing board anymore. But a lot of it is just cookie cutter office paper work and can become a bit dreary. These are the parts that I have to force myself through, but the technical stuff is quite interesting.

Personally I'm rather happy with it, but this also has to do with my previous career fuckups so I'm glad to have found such comfortable work at all and aren't damned to do badly paid pleb labor for the rest of my life.

I work in IT.

Went to school to be a mechanic. God what a waste of money.

I went to school to be IT, ended up as a mechanic.
Fucking hell do I hate IT.

How comes you didn't stick with the mechanics?

You work at franz?

They do that to you too?

Oh shit, that's not good.

Financial Analyst, working up to an iBanker in a few years.

nah they were the main bread vendor for the store i cut my teeth at. i now cater to people like pic related in a unionized co-op.

I'm a financial planner

rip your free time. but you'll make a killing tho

I deliver pizzas

Do you get tips?

to be fair birds probably have the shittiest slaughter lives

On a good night I'll make $125 on tips alone, but I've only been there for 6 weeks. Some nights are as bad as $60. This weekend total I made about $460 if you include my bi-monthly paycheck

Went at a young age. It was one of those tech school places and I was fresh out of high school during the time so I wanted to follow through with something. Realized that the school taught me nothing useable, and worked at fast food places until I somehow wiggled in through IT.

I feel you brother. I hate it too, but the money is pretty okay.

Shame, I sort of wanted to know a fellow Veeky Forums user to talk shit with. The only one here that's obvious is a cold motherucker in person and a /dbt/ fag, complete with broken 90s meme bike.

(your phone goes "nico nii". you know who you are. also change your ringtone.)

>but the money is pretty okay.
I earn like double or more than my IT friends, while being an uneducated mechanic. So for me the pay won't be enough.

truck driver but I do quite a bit more than just drive. I work for a crane company and haul counterweights, jib sections, whatever random shit it is that we're lifting but then I also help with setup/rigging/breaking down so I'm on the job as long as the crane is.

That sounds like a really nice job.

software engineer
not /o related in the slightest.

I work at a factory making a measly $10 an hour.
Seriously considering suicide.

Software Engineer, also have 4/5ths of a mechanical engineering degree. I could do IT, too (have security+ cert) but meh.

I've worked for 2 OEMs (software, data analysis) and a part supplier (quality engineering).

Currently unemployed as fuck after graduating this May, applying for jobs all over the country.

Can you drive this on a C1 license?

Looks like it might even be okay on a B license, it's got single rear wheels and food usually isn't that heavy.

deliver mail
Not really related to Veeky Forums but I drive a mad sick cunt JDM rhd northrop grumman LLV
Sadly it has about 30hp

Do Japanese mail trucks have LHD?

are there reasons as to why you wouldn't want to strive for betterment?

I clean bathrooms at scarborough state beach, in Rhode Island

I work graveyard at Starbucks in a casino. Not remotely Veeky Forums related, but I get to drive the touge on the way home in the middle of the night when no one else is on the road

Hey man I work at a resort pretty much spoon feeding housekeepers and walking 5-9 miles a day and only making $11.03
>that $1.03 raise tho after working here for almost 4 years
And the closest thing to it being Veeky Forums is I sometimes see some cool cars parked in the parking lot. God I wanna quit but mom and dad can't pay the rent but life is paying for thrills...

I'm a fleet mechanic at a small tour bus company. Pretty Veeky Forums related, I guess
>central California
>most common complaints are tires and a/c

I work as a service technician at a Ford dealer in my college town while I'm going to school. It's not great. I feel like all I do is rotate 35" tires all day.

Mechanic

Except I am a mechanic and I know more than you about cars, stay BTFO

Except you're actually just a worthless neet mama's boy who's not actually employed and quite literally fucks dogs.

I'm a truckerfag. I've got a great sports car but driving a semi 2500 miles a week has really fucked with how I drive a car. I don't drive the car badly, I'm just so slow and overcautious now.

I sell drugs

Surveillance operator at a casino in a small town

I'm a software engineer, so not car related at all. It's one of those things that I happen to be really good at but I don't love it or hate it, it's a job and I do it. Pays really fuckin well though which helps for a car hobby.

I work in a petrol station, only once a week.

Oil change/tirefag

i'm not sure if it's quite /o related, but i have fun.

Your pay is shit.
Work at an Indian casino?

Software developer

There are shedloads of Veeky Forumstists in the Midlands, have you missed all the brit/o/ threads? Pic related, our first meet was on the Midlands Tick

dont the US RHD LLVs have ecotec engines?

Iron doodoo

I like what Dr. Jordan B. Peterson has to say on the subject. The one job group that employs more people in North America than any other is guess what?

Drivers.

At the exact same time, a large number of the really intelligent people in our society are working on automating driving. Self driving cars already exist, although how good they are is debatable. One way we can expect auto drivers breaking into the mainstream is through trucks. Because they don't have to be perfect, they just have to cause significantly fewer accidents than human drivers. There may be hybrids, too. So for instance you might have a convoy of trucks with a human driver in the first one, and many trucks behind following at set distances just sort of mimicking the first truck. Or you may have individual trucks following set paths with perhaps computers embedded in the road somehow, or on posts alongside it. You could perhaps have standby drivers in each truck who are supposed to intervene if anything goes wrong, something like the way trains work today. The computer mostly drives the train, but the human has to be there anyway.

In any event, as automation begins to replace those jobs, you are going to start to see a lot of unemployment. If ultimately humans aren't even eliminated, let's say that 5 out of 6 jobs are gone, then what jobs are those other 5 guys going to get?

Are they just all supposed to be on welfare?

And what happens in a generation or three after driving automation is standardized? When some rent seeking politicians decide they can make a bit of political hay out of insisting our streets be made safer for muh childruns by banning human driving, what then? Will driving be relegated to speedways and arenas? Like, you can still have your driving for sport, goyim, but you have to conform to our new safety standards now. It's 2057!

And then what the hell happens when /b/ finds a way to fuck with the software and drives a schoolbus into a lake because it's funny?

They do whether you think they do or not.

I assemble Ford Superduty

>assblasted
like the dogs you fuck? :^)

Trucker in the military since 4 months ago
I can't actually drive at all

...

nice

What's the most interesting thing you've seen on surveillance

he once was a mechanic but all he does now is work on his shitboxes and spout his shitty angry opinions on people

all his mechanical knowledge is ancient and outdated, or based on internet memes.

Quality management for interiors
I tell others that shit breaks/ wears out too fast if they make it any cheaper

Network engineer/architect

...

I'm a spraypainter which means I fix peoples cars when they fuck them up.

So like a scotty kilmer who fucks dogs and has no youtube channel?

Salesman at Sixt rent a car

Drive a truck around Atlanta in the USA. Yes this is real lol

Then why did you start doing it? You studied medicine, why did you pick a field that doesn't appeal to you at all?

kek

I'm a banker. I make money from Veeky Forums financing a used wrx

I passed my test in 2011 so I can drive it without needing a test. I think it's people after 2014 who have their license are only allowed to drive a car.

I'm a university dropout who stocks shelves and generally hates my life.

Work overnight which pays a tiny bit better, so was at least able to save enough to spend 8k cash on a motorcycle and a 2k beater, but existence is still suffering.

Yeah, but come on, dude was clearly insane.

I'm a paramedic. Recently started working for a rural ambulance service in Washington. We have a small community hospital in the county. The next closest trauma center is about 2 hours away. Most the driving is done by my partner and we drive the same roads most the time so the scenery gets abound little boring. It's about fun job though, I'd post pics but just got about new phone abound don't have any saved. Pic related is very similar to our rig but not my county.

I work for Costco.
I don't enjoy it anymore but the money and benefits are good so...

I get paid to put tools on trucks. Sometimes I even fix them. I'm hourly so it doesn't much matter to me how long it takes to do a job. Theoretically I'm rated on how efficient I am but I'm not going to lose my job over low numbers.

>I don't enjoy it anymore
There was a time when you did enjoy it?
