P5's themes reminds me of Raidou King Abaddon's Chaos than anything mainline related. That game was big on the whole making selfish choices being chaotic and doing what you think is right, while not treating living as part of society as something to hate. Amatsu-Mikaboshi even notes that Raidou follows the rules because he believes in them, but the moment he doesn't he'll just defy it. The Neutral and Chaos routes were also practically the same thing, right down to the Chaos Hero living on both.

Law on the other hand forced collectivism and obeying authority to the point of retardation, like the Law Heroine wanted to make zero choices at all that she thinks life would be simpler being raped by mutant bug people than trying to open her own stores and make sweets, and said Law was slowly collapsing in on itself from its own stupidity and refusal of change.
