Check your Documents or game install directories for the xray_[your name]_log file. If you can't find it, look in the location specified at the top of fsgame.ltx. Copy the last few lines from the log and paste them here if you want any help.

Loaded up an earlier save (CoC, saved in Zaton) and suddenly the game is now locked at 30FPS. I've never had this before, any fix?

to add to this, it doesn't matter what saves i load anymore, the game just decided to say fuck you and is locked on 30 FPS no matter what I do. I tried changing ingame graphic settings, but it stays at 30. wat do

If you can't get all the way up to 60 fps vsync just chops it in half and clamps it to 30 for the sake of consistency. Zooming lowers the fov so there's less to render, so it runs faster. You're probably hitting 50 fps or something normally.
Moral of the story: don't use vsync, ever.

So I just got the game, installed the starter pack mods+ the best overhaul mod and started exploring the zone
tons of fun so far, I love how the game doesn't hold your hand and the gunfights are amazing. The enemy AI is also pretty good, they make good use of cover but are also not pinpoint accurate all the time.
One thing I want to know is though, I was searching for some shit a guy had hidden in a house and then I heard a gunfight going on, went to investigate and decided I wanted their gear
I didn't know that there was going to be like 7+ military dudes under the bridge and all hell broke loose but somehow I survived and killed everyone
Did I fuck up, were those guys important to the story somehow or is it okay that I killed them?
