Go look up the article about the heavily used 3rd Gen Hemi that some magazine tried to grenade by overboosting it. They literally cranked it WAY past reasonable levels with stock internals except for a cam and it took all of it like it was nothing.

and OHC doesn't necessarily make more power. if you remember correctly, the highest horsepower N/A OHC V8 engine is the LS7 in the Corvette Z06, which made 505 horsepower. Meanwhile BMW made a 6.2L V8 called the M159 that made over 560 horsepower.
