Freindly reminder that GM has NEVER made a more powerful naturally aspirated production V8 inside a vehicle under 40k dollars brand new than 5.0L V8 in the 2018 Mustang GT.

Lotsa specifics there. The DOHC motors are expensive as fuck. LS is dirt cheap and love almost any sort of power-adder. No one ever does coyote swaps because they are fucking expensive. No one cares. I'd rather have a simple LS hat is ready to go for whatever is thrown at it.
>nb4 5.3 from the early 2000s.

bump for assmad

EcoBoosted 5.2l Voodoo when

so you admit gm can't compete?

.

four cams is three too many for nigger brains to handle I guess

I did not admit anything. The 6.2 will walk circles around the GT. /SS/ prevails. Rather have a simple LS or LT now they are.

wrong. the 2018 mustang beats the 2018 camaro in 0-60.

0-60 is the only important day to day metric.

ford>gm

Why have something more complicated? No one ever runs 4 cams on big HP/TQ motors. Do you even motor bro? Aside from the ZR1 Mercury boat motor in the vette what's the point?

>No one ever runs 4 cams on big HP/TQ motors
Then why is there no faster LS-powered car in the world than this?
accufabracing.com/accufab-mustang

>more complicated
motherfucker, it is less complicated. you just stick the cams in and it fucking works. you don't have to adjust 16 rockers. ALSO, v8 DOHC motors easily allow for 32 valves

Because drag racing with small blocks is pointless. 3000hp is also pretty pathetic in the twin turbo big block world especially when those tt big blocks can be driven from race to race.

>m-muh BBC
kek

>motherfucker, it is less complicated. you just stick the cams in and it fucking works.
Not how it works. You're going to align it all, right?
>you don't have to adjust 16 rockers.
Never adjusted my rockers on the LS
>ALSO, v8 DOHC motors easily allow for 32 valves
So you admit you need 32 valves to do what a Chevy does with 16, and you brag about that? That's like being proud of a forced induction ford 5.0 powerplant that makes 700 hp when people are showing 700+ hp ls3 builds that are naturally aspirated.

I like all these friendly reminders gm has never x, you're implying they've tried to.

>What chevy does with 16
except the LS cannot run the quarter mile in 5 seconds, whereas the modular 4V can

>700hp naturally aspirated
oh wow, Ford did that in the 60's with the cammer

you are delusional, OHC is superior to OHV

Dont respond to alphonse threads. This is why you're supposed to lurk a bit.

.

Cannot, or has nobody tried for a 5 sec quarter with the ls?

Lol yeah, gm did that in the past too, but that's not what we were talking about, dumdum. We were talking about recent engines...

Yet the pigfat maro is still faster. Kys noob

Friendly reminder that neither Ford or GM made a truck with a gas engine that surpassed 1 Million miles with it's original engine.

Toyota keeps destroying them in reliability.

it's the same shit really, with all the LS swap craze you'd think you'd see a 5 second LS engine, yet there are none

>recent engine
people have taken the boss 6.2 to over 800hp n/a

bangshift.com/general-news/videos/watch-a-ford-6-2-boss-engine-which-now-measures-460ci-scream-at-8500-rpm-and-make-800hp/

You can get anything into the 5's if you throw enough money into it. Is it really worth dumping $200k into a mod motor when a big block does it for 1/4 the price more reliably?

>You can get anything into the 5's if you throw enough money into it
clearly you can't since there are no 5 second LS engines faglord

>big block
what is the fastest stock casting Big Block Chevy out there?

>people have taken the boss 6.2 to over 800hp n/a

awww that's cute. Ford is finally at 1970's power levels.

youtube.com/watch?v=fnq7qja7As8

But Dodge has...

you can make that much with a 460???

>clearly you can't since there are no 5 second LS engines faglord

No because even "dumb rednecks" aren't dumb enough to take a small block to a big block fight. Why don't you do it if it's so easy?

>what is the fastest stock casting Big Block Chevy out there?

Too lazy to find out but considering they can make more power na than a 700hp ecoboost and the voodoo can put together I'd say it's more than capable of going fast.

If you put your mind and bank account into it.

Dude. Why are you feeding one of the worst posters here replies? "Lurk moar" isn't just a meme to bully newfriends, it's solid advice to sit back and read a bit. This guy is literally autistic and desires nothing but shitting up the board with dumb posts like he's been making now. He's been doing it for years. He dropped his name for this thread but he's normally s/o/viet/cancer/something with the initial "C." In it. DO NOT RESPOND TO HIM. No amount of reasonable posts will break through his 'tism.

>Why don't you do it if it's so easy?
Because I am not a retarded GM fangirl??? If I wanted a 5 second small block, I would get the superior modular

>Too lazy to find out
well until you can find the fastest stock casting BBC the modular is faster, most "big blocks" out there are billet blocks

>na
natural aspiration is irrelevant

>If you put your mind and bank account into it.
do you unironically think a crate LSX engine is cheaper than a junkyard 460? are you retarded???

>Stop talking about cars!!

Just because the facts offend you doesn't mean you should tell others what to do

>2016 camaro ss automatic 0-60: 4.0
>2016 mustang gt automatic 0-60:4.0

2018 mustang*

nope. the 2018 mustang hits 60 in less than 4 seconds. sperg more

have you seen a third party instrumented test where the 2018 ford mustang gt has gone from 0-60 in less than 4 seconds?

>no! it doesn't count!
lel, sperg more

ill take that as a no. im going to chalk this one up as a victory and leave now.

A victory for ford? Yep. considering it's faster to 60. Lol

. eb2kwkJ

but doesn't dodge use the same engine in their's?

There's a guy who drove a jellybean F150 over a 1M miles. Also, a guy with a E-series van with the 5.4L went 1.3M miles too.

>Toyota keeps destroying them in reliability.

Several million fleet vans, trucks and Ambulances would argue otherwise.

A million "Toyota" miles aka getting groceries is like 300k miles in a fleet truck.

Ford didn't need to be bailed out.

bump

.

.

h

no you can not get anything in the 5s thats ridiculous.

yeah but you can buy a c6 z06 for less than $25k and the engine is a lot better than the Coyote

>the engine is a lot better than the Coyote

nope

.

.

e

.

Man, that shit looks totally stock, like he pulled it out of a taxi.

>under 40k
Because it's not cheap and shitty that's why

The 2018 Camaro hasnt been announced dummy.

cry more

are you actually this stupid

cry more

true

You will never ever get 1.5 hp and 1.5 tq per cubic inch NA from an OHV engine

Takes $3000 to get 800 hp out of a junkyard 385 series block

People do that all the time, that's only 550hp from a 6.0

Stock muscle cars in the 60's and 70's before the smog bullshit were getting almost those numbers and people were getting more than that with garage built engines. Air, fuel and cubes. It's not rocket science even though Ford is just getting there now.
