Turbo V6's are clearly better than V8's for track performance. Why would you want extra weight if you're trying to create a lightweight track vehicle?

The only claim to fame that ford has right now. It's not even very good in street trim.

How you figure?

I've never been outrun by an ecoboost powered anything. I can see how 300hp may be a lot by four cylinder standards, but it's really not that much for a v8.

A better question, why would I want a stock engine when I'm creating my track car.

Do you think you know better than the team of engineers behind your car?

I know I could build a faster one for cheaper without having to jump through all the hurdles they do, yes.
Take a car. Turbo it. Bam, faster then the engineers who designed it, people do it every day. Who competes with stock parts?

I was talking to one of my dealerfriends about the ecoboost.

After 70,000 miles it's a service-shop whore.

Who knew that you couldn't just keep pushing power?!
