Thinking about getting a 1985 GPz 550 as a step up from my 250 first bike. Does anyone have advice about the GPz? Is it a decent middleweight bike? I'm 6'1" 150lbs.

I am currently running a moto guzzi v50 (500cc) as my first motorcycle. Luckily it is a project bike so we had time to work on it. We re did the jet's and fixed the timing, as well as add a hall effect ignition system. After that we have been doing some other mods, but it runs fine. Of course having 2 carbs to mess with is ok.
What I will tell you is that it can be ok if you have some money and another bike to ride incase something goes bad.
We had to put in a new starter, and do springs up front and a new shock in the back. I also weigh 185 and am 5'10.
TL:DR if you have other transportation to your job, and am ok with having to wrench it is ok. Otherwise good luck.

Is there any way to make a bike look worse than with ape hangers?

Took my cafe racer for a spin today.
I don't fit into any certain molds or trends so this style of bike fits me the best.
I went out to the local Bruhaus and slammed a couple delicious craft beers and talked with my peers about the simplicity and true riding experience you get from cafe racers.

On the way home I stopped at mommys house and she gave me a 20$ to go pick her up a couple things. ( kept the change)

They are so de-tuned to get passed emissions, they can barely work, the dealers reload the computers on them. it's a loophole that allows them to sell old inefficient engines.
