Most iconic Japanese automobile?

I got a soft-spot for hatches..... gotta be basic and say the 86'

...

I'd have to say Supra mkiv, the apex of japanese era. I prefer and own the mkiii but you the mkiv is miles ahead if you discard le furious meme

Dude, it's honestly something like the Honda Civic.

The corolla or camry are the only answers.

6th gen corolla obviously

its the best

>most iconic Japanese car
>it's a meme machine featured in a Chinese cartoon

Has to be the r34 gtr with the nsx as a close second. Ae86 would be third.

240z, 260z and 280z (not zx)

The Nissan S30 to me is the most iconic. Yes, main competition in Japan was the Toyota gt 2000. But the goals for an affordable, lightweight, powerful and utilizing pretty new tech for automobiles were all achieved with one fell swoop with these cars.

Japan really didn't have anything to hold a torch to the British sports cars of the 60's. But when Nissan released the 240z/fairlady s30z, it changed the world.

Definitely the Skyline. It was one of the most technologically advanced cars of its time.

I got a mitsubishi lancer EVO 8 just for £900 and I'm proud of it.

The impreza, everyone knew it because of McRae.

Eunos Cosmo.
World's first car equipped with 3 rotors & digital infotainment system.

OEM silvias are so beautiful, especially two tones

Hard to call out a specific 'most iconic'.

Skylines and Supras are loved and known, even if F&F was a large part of their American popularity. The NSX showed that Japan can be on par with beautiful exotics if they wanted.

one of these 3

>most iconic Japanese automobile
>not the most popular sports car of all time

This

Civic

wouldnt being in anime make it iconic in itself? not to mention it's a good car. competitive performance for the time, great fr platform, corolla reliability. it was the perfect cheap hobby car. you could buy something fun without it being a piece of unreliable shit.

...

it has to be a tie between the poopra and the porn rule. just ask any normie and they'll know about those because of the original fnf series

>competitive performance
on in the shitbox world
>great fr platform
it was cheap, not good. people who had money bought way better cars.
>corolla reliability
maybe. i might give you this one. but people who use this car for racing or doriftu go through 7-8 engines in 10 years

Gotta be the Corolla or the Hilux. This last one ripped a whole company apart.

This, the Z's have always had a special place in my heart.

>not ed6 civic hatchback

ITT: dumb boi racers who can't see past America

The Super Cub is the best selling vehicle of all time and production is at a record high 60 years after it was introduced

Entire god damn economies run off of the backbone of this indestructible little motorbike
Even in America it helped change the image of motorbiking to be more open, friendly and inclusive instead of being an exclusive niche for Hell's Angels meth addicts

i own a yamaha qt50 in the midwest. it only goes 33mph

and this is my car

Supercub has a top speed of 56mph
