The defining bow on MHGen is the Bow of Hope and Valor. Every stage in its upgrade is strong, and its final upgrade is considering erroneously by some people to have the equivalent of G-Rank stats.
It is the bow that every other bow in the game is measured against and discarded for.
The rare few bows that are not outclassed by Light and Courage and Le Desir, Heaven's Manna, Alatreon Commandment, Ashen Pride and Beastking Thunderbow. In practice, only Light and Courage, Le Desir and Alatreon Commandment see use.

Gore and Shagaru are both well made fights, they have strong attacks but they're slower and allow you to dodge them properly
Valfark goes from one strong attack to another almost instantly, it moves so fast that it's almost impossible to catch up to it and you can stand anywhere close to it that it will be able to hit you with attacks that you cant dodge. It's an awful fight.
