Advice for a very low Gold Scrub?

Mainly play Ana/Lucio/Hog/Junkrat in comp when I can get away with it, but between all of the 200+ hour Genji mains, widow mains and Tracer mains really enjoying McCree/Doctor Simian in QP.

Since I'm more of a Generalist anyway, how badly would I be screwing my team over by trying to play those two in Comp where people actually play to win and not to see how many spawn kills they can get?

I also suck at aiming, is McCree in QP a good choice for practice?

If your aim is bad with McNugget, QP is great for target practice. I wouldn't suggest it if your looking to practice your teamplay and such, though.

Winston is actually really popular in the gold-diamond area right now the way the meta is, so I'm sure you'll feel welcome in there.

I'm confused about winstons shield, the hero info says it blocks from shooting IN OR OUT of it. But I can clearly attack from inside of it. Do they just mean it works like rein's shield, where it blocks enemy fire? Can you shoot completely through a friendly Winston shield from outside it? (Through both layers)

Jesus fuck dude I can't stress that enough. If you are playing a game of comp and no one on your team is able to hit Pharah, even if they DON'T have a Pharah you're going to struggle, imagine what'll happen if they DO have one.

Winston's barrier works the same way Rein's does.

Friendly fire can go in or out but enemy fire gets blocked by the first layer. The same applies to Orisa.

What way should I be using McCree's stun? Currently using it to interrupt Ults//escape non-ideal situations and interrupting dangerous enemies whilst I'm surrounded by teammates so we can gank them.
Occasionally shutting down a Tracer or Genji when I can actually hit them

Should I be focussing on using it to kill tanks and DPSs?

It's used for crowd control. Use it when it's available

The stun's really for what you listed. When you can aim, it's to stop flankers and get a nice clean headshot. But it's really dependent on what you think would benefit the team the best.

Flashbang has a lot of very powerful applications. All of the things you said are good uses of flashbang.
One thing a lot of good McCree's do is throw their flash over Reins barrier to stun him from the other side, bringing his shield down for just a second, which can be all your team needs to take him or his healer down.

Flashbang is great for Lucio's and Genji's that won't get off the damn Payload.

Other than that, sounds like your doing good out there.
