Doing all right. Celebrated Mother's Day by taking the family out to dinner, spent the rest of it playing video games and watching a movie with my brother-in-law.
>that pic >you will never be back in the days in early 2012 when KS had just came out, and Veeky Forums hadn't been ruined yet /v/ and /ksg/ when the game came out are my fondest memories ever of posting here. Compared to back then ksg is beyond dead.
Parker Campbell
I feel it every day, man. Here, have some more nostalgia.
Jaxon Smith
Oh yes, we went to my mom's favorite restaurant. And I'm playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. I'm a late adopter. Nothing for today except sleep and getting ready for a busy week at work.
Long Lovely Locks Intense Irresistible Idiosyncrasies Light Laughing Lark Laudable Learning Lender Young Yellow Yummy
I remember.
Elijah Ross
Oh, that's cool! We went to my mom's favorite restaurant, too! Cheng's. She can't pass down a good broccoli and chicken dish. >DA Should be an interesting perspective, without all the /v/ wars that surrounded the titles when they were fresh. Rest well, man.
>I remember. Yes, I know you do.
Anthony Richardson
I still remember the greetext I write with the Grandson talking to his Grandpa.
Tyler Hill
>it's true, for a good few years, he was my only friend >we had so many wonderful times together, I love how he came as soon as he so much as heard me walking up the steps >...why are you staring at my feet like that?
Ryder King
We had a nice few who wrote something like that. Don't know if I remember that one. Was it ever capped?
Joshua Brooks
>Lilly knowing you're staring at her feet
It's in the pic you posted about the tenth anniversary. The punchline is Grandpa, Crapawa Shitjo is not a game
Jaxson Gonzalez
damn, hadn't thought of that. I'll greentext better next time, Gadget. Next time. *mrrrrrrrrrrooooowwwwwwwwwww*
Xavier Phillips
Oh, nice. I didn't get into any of the cool caps. I was user back that far.
Josiah Edwards
I don't know what will happen between now and 2022 (jesus christ, how are we half way there already...), but I hope you guys will all show up for the 10th anniversary thread, no matter what happens between now and then.
Carter Young
You know it, man! I hope that user from will be the one to make the thread. Someone's gonna do it regardless, but I really hope he keeps that promise. I'd like to say hi to him again.
I feel like you're an user who knows a lot despite being entirely user... don't forget, you're the best.
Lucas Phillips
>and Veeky Forums hadn't been ruined yet
It was always ruined.

I honestly don't see how some people can go a full year without snow. If I had to go an entire winter without it, I'd be saddened by its loss and miss it terribly. Imagine this; you've made it. Somehow, you're working from home. Whether through writing, able to work on graphic design shit for games or something from your own computer and send it to the company you work for, you've got a successful Youtube channel, you're a successful streamer, whatever. You have plenty of food, and not only is the power stable/secure, but you've got a wood stove plus plenty of firewood so even if the power went out or a few days, you're good.
Let it fucking snow. Let the Gods shit white ERRYWHERE, because there's no place you have to be, and even while remaining inside you're making plenty of cash.
Well, my goal is to become a full-time writer. I'm steadily making my way there, and I've got a promotion on the go right now. My first four books are free, fifth one is on a Kindle Countdown discount in the UK; 0.99 Pounds from May 15th-21st.
>Living amongst the Dead Zombie survival novel, emphasis on realism and survivalism, plus a feminist character has a bad time.
>When her 'No' means 'Yes' Erotica novel or possibly a long novella, sort of in between, but anyways feel free to pass this one by; not very popular.
>Firearm Valhalla Action/post-apoc novelette. Written for /k/, says so in the Dedication section. Basically pure gun porn, plus a story and some character development thrown in.
>Another One Please, to Dull the Pain Drama novella. Essentially written with MGTOW in mind.
Michael Lopez
I'd like to pretend I'm an apex oldfag but I'm not. I'm just an occasional mostly lurking user who was there a while after the game came out. Thanks Kenji.
James Anderson
Veeky Forums was runined the day 'millenial' and 'nu-anything' became a term. We used to be a unified team. Now we're getting split by generations. It's almost as if the people we were laughing 'haha underageb&' at are now turning it against us.
Adrian Fisher
Oh yeah, also, all 6 of my books are available on Kindle Unlimited so you can read them there anytime. Just throwing this out there; if anyone reading this has Kindle Unlimited and has some time on their hands, if it doesn't take long to flip through pages, it would be AWESOME if you could go through some of my books and just flip through them. I get paid for page 'reads' but really if it's even flipped past I still get paid for it. It would make my fucking day. I have no intention of ever removing my books from KDP Select/Kindle Unlimited however so they'll be there whenever you feel like checking them out. The 'Living amongst the Dead' book has two sequels, with a third in the works. Anyways, thanks /ksg/.
Juan Ross
It slowly got worse over the last five years, culminating in gamer gate and when the media started latching onto it and tons of new people came. The problem is they aren't weebs and object to one of the core aspects of the site.
Hudson Hughes
Aw, no need to worry about 'apex', it's just important that you're here. You seem apex enough to me. Thanks for the thanks, for what they're worth.
I'll give them a look when I can, a few of them sound really interesting to me.
Chase Jenkins
and yet, /v/ is still more or less the same hilarious storm it was. Maybe with a little less bro-ness.
Ryder Campbell
>your image >in every route except Emi's, Hisao continues to have heart problems and is weak >in Lilly's especially it's a major problem >he probably dies young after marrying lilly and having children IT'S NOT FAIR
Juan Collins
Thanks a lot for the support, I hope you like them.
Can't wait to see which route I end up in and which ending I'll get. I got literally every ending in KS back in 2013 but it's been so long, I've basically forgotten how to access all the routes and which decisions lead to which endings. I'm hoping to get Rin and to try and get her good ending. What a minefield... I find Rin's good ending to be one of the heart-wrenchingly happy one, yet her neutral ending is in my opinion the most heart-wrenchingly sad ones.
Camden Martin
Lilly's endings were all absolutely amazing for me, as was Emi's good end. I liked hanako's good end as well. Something about her bad and especially neutral ending were extremely depressing for me. I've never cared much for any other characters.
Henry White
There were other screencaps for the other girls. I don't know where they'd be, though.
That's really intriguing, it's almost like you're playing through it for the first time. Hope you have a fun time with it, and I hope you get the route you want. And as we always used to tell the newbies, don't forget to follow your heart~
Cameron Gray
Hanako's bad ending was terrifying. The scared little rabbit became a ferocious lion...
Jose Powell
Though Katawa Shoujo had a pretty profound impact on me, when I had finished all the routes and basically completed the game 100% (on a different computer I might add, so I don't even have my saves), I pretty much left it alone for years. Well certainly the game I left alone, but I basically didn't look into it for a long time. Didn't go to any forums for KS, maybe once or at most twice I went and listened to some KS music just for old time's sake, but time has done its part on my memory. Many, many bottles of liquor have been drank between the time I beat the game and now. So yeah, it really is like I'm playing it through for the first time. I dare say I've even forgotten some of the endings, but not Rin's... certainly not Rin's...
Evan Campbell
Sounds like some rocky years. I feel that. Hope you enjoy the venture.
I haven't forgotten, either. But, it's like she said, we gotta move on, right.
Bentley Gonzalez
ksg mansion when
Jacob Jones
What do you guys imagine ksg mansion would be like? Would we have real katawas? I'd like a massive room full of art stuff for the drawfriends, a massive room for all the writefriends. We also need a room where we can publicly humiliate tripfags.
Gabriel Martin
I'm getting an odd deja vu from that, like I remember someone saying that as their idea before...
Mason Foster
Daily reminder that Mutou puts up with probably the least disciplined class in the whole school.
>Hanako often leaves >Hisao sometimes falls asleep in class >Shizune and Misha distract each other >Suzu's fucking asleep even more than Hisao >I swear to God Miki the ceiling is not more interesting than this lecture >And then there's that one kid in the back who gets bored and taps his cane on the floor!
Eli Williams
Suzu's got a condition, that doesn't count as misbehaving. And you pretty much made that last one up. Besides that, you have a point.
Jack Thompson
That's the good thing about background characters, you can just make up anything you want since nothing is stated in canon.
Alexander Morales
Your favorite katawa is thinking of a nice present for her mother! What item does she pick?
Fair point.
Gavin Harris
Emi gets the nurse to give her something 'for the both of them', since he knows he's trying to shag her mom and she either wants to help him/sabotage him.
Jordan Jenkins
Aww, that's a really sweet story in the making. Nice one.
Owen Nelson
>It's a "Miss the Fluff sighting" episode
Fuck, now it's a whole 'nother week before the next one
Brody Wood
Any sort of message you want to pass on?
Hudson Long
>check out my diary desu
Jace Turner
Kenji who's your favourite katawa and why? Mine's Lilly because she's so sweet and pure.
Carter Roberts
I love Hanako because she actually reads books that aren't YA and I've yet to find that in a real life woman.
Sebastian Thomas
go to the library or a local book club to pick up introverted chicks then
Landon Lopez
That's the worst idea I've ever heard
You know what the last thing you want while reading in the Library or browsing a bookstore?
Some autistic fuck to interrupt your peace and try and spit game.
Dylan Gray
especially if they're a fat autistic NEET from Veeky Forums who hasn't showered in the past month, like most people in this thread
Christian Carter
So, /ksg/, where can I find a girl like lilly or Hanako?
Levi Miller
Define "a girl like Lilly or Hanako"
Cameron Brown
Basically any girl that isn't vain and stupid that actually cares about me Being physically attractive is optional
Connor Reyes
Me? It's Rin. I respect all of the katawas for their unique qualities, though. If I ever need courage and a feeling of peace, I know Lilly can give it to me.
Try not to worry too much. you'll meet her!
Oliver Jenkins
...
Caleb Rodriguez
good to see ya, friend. Day going okay?
Jack Hall
Mornin' Cripple fuckers. How we all doing?
Justin Sanders
Doing okay here. How's it with you?
Jonathan Stewart
Same shit, different day, really. Sitting at work, behind on multiple college papers and assignments, and tired as hell.
Justin Butler
Try to keep up with it as best you can, man.
Christian Ramirez
If I wasn't autisitc or ugly, could I just walk up on a bookstore cutie and "spit game"?
Jackson Adams
If you're legitimately interested in what she's reading, maybe. That could make a cool icebreaker.
Adrian Fisher
not very, but I'll live
I think I should take a nap
Jace Long
Aww, why not very?
>I think I should take a nap Never a bad idea. I was thinking of doing that, too.
Gabriel Fisher
Autistic is less of a problem than you'd think if you don't look like shit.
Gavin Hughes
Nth for a happy Hana!
Jose Harris
Daily reminder that it is your duty to be basically familiar with armor and weapons in order to defend yourself and your country.
Jackson Gutierrez
As if they have proper armor here in the states. If all else fails, I do know how to use a washboard as a gauntlet, and a colander as a shield
Cooper Evans
We need more Saki things.
Kevin Turner
We need more Akira and Miki things, as well.
Jonathan Cook
I'm gonna pass out. See you guys later! Have a nice day! If you're not havin' a nice day, flex what you got and do your best to MAKE it nice!
For sure.
Brayden Reyes
>Saki would have been 18 in 2007 >would be 28 now >she'd be really close to death and likely fucked up and suffering physically
Connor Carter
suzu!
Logan Robinson
Beware, my comrades, that when you deal with a Katawa unjustly you might end up Katawa yourself.
Never use the Hebrew Arts on a Katawa.
Asher Rogers
>90% of pseudo routes end halfway through Act 2
Alexander Bennett
tfw 95% of EVNs start hyping before they've finished their story, get stuck, and either stall for months on end or just cut and run with the kickstarter money
Jack Torres
>Next chapter should be out very soon! >Posted July 2014

I'm going to do stuff to Hideaki's butthole
Jacob Watson
The sad truth is that publicly updated work is that it suffers from about the same failure rate as privately composed/written/produced work.
Andrew Anderson
Please don't, he's fucked enough in the head as is without you humoring his boy-pussy delusions
Andrew Edwards
I am going to do stuff to Hideaki's butthole every night and take him on romantic outings.
Landon Mitchell
No, I know. I'm not really criticizing the writers themselves. I get that inspiration fades and sometimes life can get in the way I just read through an unfinished route and I was really enjoying it, so I was just lamenting a bit I guess.
Carter Thompson
get excited for monster girl gamu!
Juan Brown
...
Aiden Gonzalez
What was the name of that one trip that was a dick to everyone and his defining quality was how mean of a person he was?
I remember his name having the word "snow" in it, I think.
Isaiah Morgan
I'm not criticizing either your lamentation or criticism (it's fine to do either or both), merely granting clarity, and some advice for anyone else who is trying to write an English VN to 'get rich quick'.
If you intend to make a work public to collect money, finish the writing before you start hyping.
Jackson White
I suppose the thought process is they'd like to gauge interest by releasing stuff incrementally.
That does show a lack of confidence in your work though, so I don't know what the happy medium would be
Luke James

Just finished Rin's arc again, it had been a year at least. Cried again, I think I needed it. I had forgotten Rin hummed songs while painting, that's pretty cute too. She's so great, wish I could find my Rin in the real world.
The story holds out pretty good throughout the years, considering it was forged in the depths of Veeky Forums, that it is really remarkable.
