A4 is just a fancy Lexus ES/Toyota Camry XLE for DD. S4 and RS4 are the totally different beasts.

A3 is not bad, but RS3 is a stupid fast for its size. 0-60 time is 3.8 seconds, but remember it is just conservative. It can do 3.5.

k04/f23l turbo, tune, intercooler, hfc are the basics. more supporting mods will help though. could go all in for under ~$5k or so if you disregard brakes/suspension.
