>E7 heads, lower and upper intake, 19lb injectors, stock HO cam, 87 fox ECU, pushrods
>$180
did I do gud

Also, anyone put headers on a TC? Apparently the stock ones from a foxbody fit but idk about pic related shorties, guy wants $75

cheap as fuck, jesus

I'm really really liking this ferd parts availability. I posted a complete HO 5.0 in the last thread that was $300

In case anyone missed it

can you blip the throttle without it stalling?

>1992
Will it ever be a "classic"?

Better watch out with throwing mustang exhaust parts on a panther car. I don't know about your year specifically, but I have a 99 crown vic and they take special headers because of the cross members that are in the way. Mustang headers will not fit on my car.

You have a better chance with shorties than long tubes. Do some research, a company finally started making long tubes for all late model panthers after years of having nothing, so it's possible there's something for yours too.

Nope. Dies when given any gas if in gear.

Have you checked your vacuum?

Thanks for this response, that will give me lots to work on for the next little while.

Hey they let me in with my 92 Chevy truck, classic bro.

Also here's the 350. To cam or not to cam. It's got a roller in it now so a cheap thumpr cam from Comp is about 700 bucks.

Any ideas where to get rear glass for my '70 LeMans? No junkyards within 50 miles have anything, and the glass places want like $1100.

The Polara is done. Cheaper than expected. Anyone want to buy her?

So i sold the 53 Customline, and now im looking at a 69 skylark. Runs and drives, but front seat is trashed, trunk is crunchy and some rust in the fenders. But is 3k. Worth or no?

not sure what year but i think it barely makes 25

i have no mechanical knowhow at all but its being sold for 700$ , a huge steal fir anything with wheels in flipland

was thinking its a decent place to start learning how to fix up a car

You can get whatever parts you need for this car from classic industries or something. They are cool cars. Ppl always wanted Chevelles or Camaros. Skylarks are oddball. Seems like a great deal! But they aren't worth much it would seem.

Just worried about the trunk and trunk rim being to far gone.

Bad spots incoming

...

...

Idk wtf happened here

Solid pass from me. There isn't a body part on that car you won't have to have fixed.

That's a $750.00 car, at most.

Try copperstate classics

furfag

>flipland
I feel you mang. SEA is a terrible place for a car enthusiast

PASS. That looks worse than I thought. Buy something else without a 350.

Well.... guess im back on the prowell...

No problem buddy. Thats a sweet truck youve got there, and I'd love to see it back on the road doing 40 mph once again... heh

Just because you have money doesn't mean you have to spend it on junk, haha! Don't be like me.

>copperstate
>$610

Not bad, thanks user!

Damn she's pretty!

Nice Lemans. Im looking to buy one. Needs love, got a 400 ram air 2, auto for 3500$

>tfw your first part arrives for your new old car

My truck gained a snek mascot today. After a ride 7 hours later he fell out of the passenger door when I opened it. Was nice having you snake

...

Alright, i think i found a gem, but need opinions.

1981 Trans Am.
4.9
Auto
From the pics he sent me, very minor surface rust on bottom of fenders.
Inside looks very clean.
Says it ran and drive before....
... he broke the smog pipe.

Now from what the picture shows and what he said, it sounds like where the heads wrap around the front of the engine to bend back/down for the exhaust to run under the car is where it broke. Says it runs fine, but is very loud.

Is this just simply like running open headers exhaust? Or is this mean its fucked.

This is the pic of the break. Not really sure where thats at. He said something about being behind the turbo (altonator)

If it runs fine who cares. Mine just dumps right in front of the door

Yeah, thats what i thought. Just didnt know if it was some government cuck pipe that somehow fucks the engine if its cut off.

It's a good feeling

That appears to be the smog pump dominating the top left side of the image, and that water neck is on the intake manifold at the front of the engine.

So it looks very accessible, at least.

>Says it ran and drive before

The lack of hose on the water neck is a bit troubling though. Maybe he just took that off to get at that air pipe. idk.

I doubt it. On another note, I think I know why my car is sitting funny

He did mention he took off the alt and belts to get to it, maybe the hose as well.
Said he'd have it back together by the time i get there so i can test drive it. I hope so since im going 200 miles for it.

Ok this cant be right. A poor condtion 81 trans am (granted its nada) is valued at 11k. How the hell is a solid, driving one only going for 3k?

Make sure to check it for rust (obviously) and frame damage. Like, get under that bitch and take measurements of the frame

I have one of those:

I just need to respray my valve covers to match it now

$1447

Come get er.

Where?

Lincoln, Maine.

Needs:

Gas tank
Body work

Runs, drives, stops. Frame rot has been repaired. Interior is decent. 318 with factory AC.

shiiit.... im in bama

You're paying for the parts and labor, so you're getting the car for free. It was given to me, I just want what I put into it back. New leaf springs, frame repair, new fuel pump, headlight switch, and headlight bezel.

Just got through with a new level of hell; the power steering pump went out on my Imperial, so I take it out and have it rebuilt. Well, '66 had this weird gravity tension system and it would not tighten, so I bought a later bracket. Naturally, the bracket didn't fit the pump; it's for a Federal pump, but my car had a TRW, so I had to have it cut, rewelded, the top notched so it would work. Now it'll be an interesting setup and isn't original, but it works flawlessly and tensions with a breaker bar; as it should.

ikr

What engine?

I had one of those. If its inline 6, you need to do a water pump and thermostat immediately after purchase.

They are notorious for failing and overheating the engine almost instantly, which will result in a blown head gasket and cracked head.

They should be treated as maintenance items and done every 100k.

Mine came the other day. Shorty headers, super 10 exhaust and 2 matte tips. Good feeling.

Classic

Trans am nerd here, 81's are pieces of shit and only a retard would buy one for more than 5k.
If it was made after mid year 79 dont buy it

beauty

>dat foot

There's another foot to the left. This is some kinda foot fetish porn. We were tricked.

which one?

>tfw cutlass finally posted feet
ty bby

Whoops
>dat feet

It's a trap

Why are both of the toes beside the big toe, curved away from the big toe so much? I've never seen that before

Thanks. They are hen's teeth here in New England. I've only ever seen 3 others in 20 years of going to shows with this car, none nearly as original as mine. Only the tires and carb are non-OEM.

Mine's the auto as well. Kind of glad, it's a fun Cruiser but it's not sporty. It makes nice sounds and goes fast... but fuck turning lol

What is this weird footposting?

post footpucci pls

This post is now derailed by feet.

>mfw serious answer gets derailed by foot posting
genetics

To what end?

For..uhh...science

my rear end

Whats so shit? I know the 4.9 isnt a great engine, and there is smog crap. But whats wrong with a sunday cruiser? All i can think of is driving down to the beach with the t-tops off

She just doesn't like em for some reason...

81 are ugly dogs and 301's are notorious for blowing up after you hear the famous *ting.
For a cruder they are not bad but I would not pay any money for one.
Just look for a 1977-1978 if you like that body style, they are cheap, cool and the 400 and 403's are both solid engines

Also T-tops suck talking from experience here

TC? fox headers fit on any fox with no exhaust mods and any panther platform but you will have to modify a fox h pipe or have one fabbed i would recommend the former

oh and the HO intake is complete garbage HO cam is pretty gud though which fox ecu did you get the auto ones are a bit better

How bad are 301s? And id love to get any form of a 2nd gen, but theyre all sky high/rollers/or across the country

shit to add to this too you can get a full explorer motor with a 100k miles for like 350 bro i would just trash the mustang shit and throw in the HO cam and run the speed density ecu

All that ive seen that the turbo ones are shit, but a N/A 301 is just a slow, reliable, "gas sipper"

Should I pick up this running and driving Merc for $1500 even though if it means scouring the internet for a turn signal assembly, among other hard to find parts?

Yes

Or just get an svo or the unicorn of the turbo world the gt turbo

My only other reason for hesitating to get it is the fact that I've already got the whole big luxury car thing down pat.

too much work isnt he dropping these parts in a panther a $350 explorer motor with a valve spring upgrade a HO cam and mustang ecu would fuckin get it

I wanted a 5.0 ho so bad but all the ones near where I was stationed wanted to much then I found my GT turbo and albeit not getting that nice V8 rumble is a bummer but damn do I love hauling ass and getting 26 mpg cruising

GT turbo? you talkin about a foxbody?

Yeah, your talking about a turbo coupe right?

never heard of a GT turbo and i know practically everything foxbody i thought the guy was wanting to upgrade an old 80s panther with HO parts

I had never heard of it before I went and looked at mine, evidently it was more expensive than the GT model but had less horsepower

I'll try and find the link I had about it

are you the guy claiming you have 325hp?

It's not stock but yes I am
google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums/2-3-mustangs/64312-1984-gt-turbo-vs-1984-svo.html&ved=0ahUKEwjy8M3G6svVAhUIw4MKHe_1CIcQFggmMAA&usg=AFQjCNHNqA5ykV6u0dmBlGjmft5sr7b0yQ

you got a dyno sheet on that because those turbo 4s need a fair amount of work to get there and jesus christ they just detuned the fuck outta the TC engine thats a shitty setup outta the factory

I used to but idk where it's at right now but I can tell you what all has been done to it

also yeah the turbo foxbody cars are great but its just not as satisfying as a 5.0
