why do people sperg out over Tekken's 'juggles'? It's Tekken's version of combos, literally every fighting game has 'juggles' or combos.
Tekken just has a bounce mechanic that makes combos seem a lot longer, but damage is scaled down to compensate.

The funny thing about it is this kind of 'gameplay' has been tolerated since forever. fireball/projectile spam has always been a shitty way to play fighting games, but there are assholes who live for that shit.
i think "increased gravity over the course of the juggle" is a really ugly mechanic
i get that its there to stop infinites but it looks really stupid at the end of combos when you have to do fast strings to stop the opponent zipping to the floor like a lead balloon

Yes and it's very bad. Tekken's are extremely bad ever since T5 where all characters were given functionally generic launchers and can do 50% damage almost every time, often times more. Juggles have always been a zero-sum game whose only purpose has been to sap motivation from skilled players and give free rounds to mashers and/or Mishima players.

Those games didn't have long juggles, especially T3.
I'm fine with really short juggles but since T6 juggles have become so obnoxiously long they ruin the fun aspect of neutral movement in 3D Fighters.
