I've noticed while playing Zero that a tight, solid circle is sometimes displayed in the center of the HUD. It's neither the aiming reticle for guns nor semi-active missiles. What is it?

Pressing L3 makes that circle appear, you use it to change your target focus to what you want by touching a target's box with it. It's useful in missions with a ton of enemies, and mashing triangle can be a pain.

That's a really useful feature. I just experienced the pain fo cycling through many targets in the second mission. Three SAMs burried between yellow targets. Such a pain in the ass.

i only learnt that after finishing the second mission because of how quiet they were when it came to everything in game and i was mashing buttons hoping i could swap targets
i wish they added a tutorial so new players would know what buttons to use

I seem to have this problem where when I set the scale to metres it randomly changes to miles in some missions. So far it's happened in missions 2 and 6. It's in a single sitting and I haven't touched the options.

Because in Ace Combat SAMs aren't actually a threat. Every mission involves elements of SEAD/DEAD on the side.

Idk if they still have them, but like I told the other user, Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, used to sell them. There's an air museum next to some baseball fields, i think we got them there.

Oh, and i don't remember if there was a b2 version. Sorry. Dad worked on B1s as a maintenance chief, and Dyess is apparently a big base for those suckers.

I think it turned out really good. It's clearly not optimized, but it's not the trainwreck a lot of artists come up with for planes.

Also as one guy noted, with 76,000lbs of thrust, anything can fly.

It looks pretty slick, like a combo of a YF-23 and an F-16XL.

Vector Thrust has some weird names for the random enemy pilots in Quick Action mode.

Apparently you're either fighting Metal Gear villains or reploids.
