In all honesty, I doubt he would /soc/. I think the most realistic turn of events would be some kind of fund-raising (as apparently he is low on it) as well as some board reshuffling, but not deletion, as much as I personally despise /soc/.

Again, this is purely of my own opinion and I do not claim it to be any more reasonable or agreeable than what your opinion might be.

As you had guessed, it is true that I just find the very idea of a /soc/ board wholly against Veeky Forums's founding principle as an anonymous imageboard. While it is true that /soc/ is a separate board and that I am not forced to use/visit it, nonetheless it's existence attracts the kind of people against the principles of anonymity by focusing on meeting each other rather than discussing things online.

Not only that, but /soc/ from what I have seen of it during a few curious visits appears to be a shallow wastedump of hornyposting and overall borderline normiehood. There are plenty of other websites that are all about submitting anonymity to the botnet jews, but Veeky Forums should NOT be one of them or tolerate it.

Overall, it's just a disgusting board wholly out-of-place from Veeky Forums and I truly wonder how it's existence ever came about.

I wouldn't call my sincere enjoyment of this site as "love" insofar-as it is just a thrilling place for me to spend my time shitposting on various topics anonymously.

Again, I feel that an anonymous imageboard dedication to discussion is such a novel concept on its own and Veeky Forums has been the only website to have incorporated it in a moderately satisfying manner. Unless mook is literally using a separate server for each board (which doesn't seem to be the case the way server downs work around here) removing boards isn't going to do anything to cut down on server load. In fact, it'll increase it, as the new, larger boards, will be more active, and more cross-interests will be picked up on.

Not that the results of fewer boards would be entirely negative, but it wouldn't do anything to reduce bandwidth usage, and would in fact, exacerbate the problem.

If anything, he'd want more boards to isolate more posters into their special interest groups, thus creating more, slower, boards with less cross-over activity.
