Turbo or Supercharger

Which one does Veeky Forums think is better?

Supercharger is easier to install
Tarbo is better in all the metrics that matter
I still prefer superchargers because throttle response

turbos are more efficient

Depends on the car it's installed on.

Why not both?

Varies from build to build.
Superchargers usually provide a more linear power delivery but sap power from the engine, which reduces efficiency. The whine they produce is pretty awesome though.
Turbos are a more efficient way to add power, but they're usually more of a hassle to install, tend to be more expensive and can take a while to kick in (depending on engine and turbo size).

Supercharger for simplicity and torque on tap.

I don't care if turbos are faster or more efficient when dat torque

Eletric turbo

>centrifugal blower
>not a roots or twin screw
Jesus christ just get a turbo then.

Depends. Superchargers are generally easier to install and have better response, but turbos can add more power without sapping any. Their power curves are different too

>Not compound charging

People are sick.

How stupid would it be to have both a supercharger and a turbo in a car?

My father's golf 7 comes twincharged from factory
Group B was doing it right before they got disbanded

Turbo all the way.
Superchargers are less efficient and die off at the top end.

t. Delta s4

neither one is objectively better in every situation.

That said, I prefer superchargers

Naturally aspirated is way better, for the simple instant response

Superchargers and turbos are alot better these days but still kind of suck. Supercars is a whole other story of course, im talking about cars that normal people can afford.

Naturally Aspirated is still the best. Most people probably don't remember because almost every damn car out their right now is turbo

Naturally aspirated > Super Charged >turbo > electric engines

>electric engines
There is no electric engine. It's a motor. Get it right
>What's the difference?
An engine takes chemical energy and converts it into mechanical energy. A motor converts electrical or chemical energy into mechanical energy.
So an engine is a type of motor, but not the other way around.

That's not a turbo
>electric engine
>engine

Can you guys help me put this in my civic dx?

Ask Volvo since it's what the T6 is now.
