Wait a bit longer.

>Fiesta ST

you seem confused, that's not a Focus RS

Because the STI is a quasi performance car and the Fiesta is just a souped fwd grocery getter. People get bored of the Fiesta's "power" and realize that dumping money into a fwd is pointless and sell it.

this, that fiesta will be a much better car too

Because vape lords

Meanwhile
>under $20k
>nice interior
>alpha platform used in the new Camaro
>weighs like 3400lbs
>2L turbo, 280bhp can be tuned to 400bhp
>6 speed manual
>RWD
>maglev suspension is comfortable and handles great
>brembo brakes
>fantastic steering
>reliable and cheap to maintain because it's a parts bin special

huge difference in performance level

They had an ats coupe? I thought it was a sedan

Because its 80% the performance of a 2018 STi you can buy at the Subaru dealer for 40% of what a new one would cost (or $15-17k).

The only catch being hella expensive replacement parts, because cadillac, and I don't believe LSD's are standard.

WRXs have a strong background in rally that draws people. The strongest alternative would be the EVO and there are plenty of negatives to that. The blobeye and the hawkeye also have a unique look to them with the hood scoop that other cars don't.

When they stop being unreliable money pits.

Ats was always available in both

Not really, same stuff as a base model Camaro

Because a brand new STI uses the same ancient engine so it doesn't matter.

Too bad the infotainment is trash. You could always drop a grand to add Android Auto... or buy a phone mount

The stock head unit should support AA on newer models.

Basically.

STIs between 2002 and 2007 were the fastest STIs. They were the lightest and made +/- 300bhp depending on the year.
It's a car that pulls a stock 4.7 0-60 time and it's pretty easy to get it into the 3s for 0-60. It's not that heavy. It has a good and proper AWD system. It has a short geared 6-speed. It (objectively) looks good.

An STI can be easily formed into a SERIOUS performance car while a Fiesta ST can't be.

The 06 STI runs the fastest quarter mile of any (negating special trims like RA or Prodrive) STI ever.
