Demo/Soldier/Pyro if you like easy big kills.

Engie/medic/pyro If you want to concentrate on defense.

Heavy/spy/sniper Are all specialty acts that require you enjoy the class itself.

to start? in 6's probably scout. in hl, not sniper, everyone who plays sniper will be leagues better than you. also not medic, you'll think medic is easy, but it's not and then your scout will yell at you and you'll eughhh

I started my TF2 on medic. It is definitely a class for fast thinking, being a target for everyone, squishy as hell. But the reward for healing teammates and popping ubers or crits of whatever is worth the cost of learning curve.

There are few things better in TF2 than that feeling you get when someone commends your medic skill.

how do people stomach playing such a middle of the road class like soldier? his single target damage is mediocre and his mobility-longevity balance is shit unless you use the gunboats. if you do use the gunboats to make yourself more mobile, you're stuck with only a 4 shot potato launcher that does 60-110 damage on average and fires projectiles that move slowly at a subpar rate.

okay, rockets have "reliable" splash damage and knockback, but why the fuck wouldn't i just play sticky jumper + iron bomber demo and fucking FRAG at that point? the mobility is even better and the damage output is both more rapid and less RNG.

pyro, demoman and heavy are all objectively superior power classes because they either do everything better or have more specialized roles that almost always need filling. you LITERALLY cannot prove me wrong.

Without the Natasha, Scout could easily trash a heavy with all his adhd boumcy shit

heavy should mainly listen to what's going on and rev up his minigun before jumping around corners, that way he is ready to shoot them dead before they could even empty their mags

in some situations it's even better if the heavy would shoot at a wall for a second before peeking around the corner to get the max accuracy on his minigun

I have literally never lost to an ahdh scout as a heavy, since tracking becomes 200x easier when you don't have to reload and your enemy jumps around predictably

not even adad can save you, only long distances and projectiles around corners can

nobody tries to adad against a heavy though

reminder pyro is the best uber buddy for killing players and if there are no buildings around you should always uber the pyro unless he's bad

Problem is pyros are crapshoots. At least with a demoman you know he's going to try for something 9 times out of 10.

I even like playing as pyro, but most players are all over the place with core competency when it comes to that particular class.

Uber/Kritz priority must be Demo and Heavy at top, followed by Soldier and Scout.
Heavy loses deploy priority as you use Kritz, but that's it.
Rest follows for healing Scout and your support banner Soldier needs overhealing for their sweep duty
As much as your Sniper to drop enemy Medic while enduring a shot.
Pyro is a dispenser dog, not a medic buddy, you only supposed to uber him on offense when you have NO other choices.
Pyro can't do shit against high up Sentry nests while Demo and Heavy wrecks them.
